Azjetfan is the nyjetsfan #1 pick
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:43 PM) I read the scouting report for Harrison, the scout said he has probowl talent but has a work ethic concern.
santana Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:10 PM) Who the hell is Bryce petty
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:20 PM) Tom Pettys brother
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) Jets should take Collins with one of their 7th rounders if there
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He has more upside for a 7th rounder than anyone else
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He can start right away at RT
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:29 PM) He said he won't sign
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:32 PM) so he doesn't want to be drafted?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:33 PM) If Collins doesn't get drafted, he can't enter next years draft. He can only if he is drafted and sits out. So I guess he has to go undrafted
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) going undrafted makes the most sense for collins
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) but for teams, drafting him and dealing with his holdout makes more sense
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:19 PM) Zac Stacy was traded to us for our 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) Jets also drafted a NT with our other 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) 6'4 330 DL who is very strong
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) zac stacy for a 7th
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) well can't complain about that
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:29 PM) So we have 4 rbs now
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:31 PM) still would have rather taken a runner on collins but i can't complain with depth
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:32 PM) i mean they can't expect to carry 4 rb though no?
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:50 PM) Collins would have been a waste. He would not have signed. At least we have something to show for our pick. Worst case scenario is we trade or release one of our backs.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) I know it's hard to tell without seeing a win loss record yet but this regime seems really on point.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) For the first time in my life I can say I feel comfortable with the people making the decisions.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:57 PM) I was close with Parcells but he seemed like a short term fixer and didn't care about the long term
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) SUCK FOR THE DUCK
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) .......oh wait
santana Icon : (03 May 2015 - 01:13 AM) Well that was a disappointment
Chadforpresi... Icon : (03 May 2015 - 01:24 AM) I like getting Stacy for our 7th rounder, assuming he can handle the fact he won't be a feature back (yikes)
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:31 AM) I like the trade, hes a quality back and adds more depth to our backfield
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:32 AM) Macc has pretty much killed it this offseason
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:32 AM) He has turned this roster around, he has added talent and competition all over.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:33 AM) We still aren't great at QB, but our overall football team is good. We have a realistic shot at making a playoff run
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:33 AM) We may have the best defense in football. We have a great DL and secondary, that is gonna be tough on offenses when you can stop the run, pressure the QB, and blanket the receivers
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:23 PM) ok now it's time for this team to take all this talent and do something anything below a 10-6 season will be a disappointment
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:24 PM) the only still glaring issue is QB
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 May 2015 - 09:25 PM) we got the WR problem solved, we got probably one of the best Defenses in the game and we have addressed the OL but QB will still be the glaring issue
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 09:34 AM) jets cleaning house
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 05:57 PM) I'm excited about this year. Could be a good year for the Jets.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:32 PM) weird how they cleaned house in the scouting department after such a successful draft and off-season so far
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 07:36 PM) I assume they didn't bring much to the table
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:41 PM) Have to clean the table
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 09:08 PM) Fuck the rangers
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 09:08 PM) face off dominated holtby gtfo
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:18 PM) La'el Collins is meeting with Rex Ryan tonight
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:31 AM) FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH!
Chaos Icon : (Today, 05:41 AM) Damn that'd make up for the Bills not having a first rounder

Jets gave 'vanilla' look in 48-28 win: Bills

If this was a 'vanilla' look from the Jets, the league should be afraid of when they really mix things up.

Despite New York winning 48-28, the Bills felt that as if the Jets did not come out with any overwhelming or complex packages and did not catch them off guard.
"They were probably more vanilla than they have been in the past," Buffalo QB Ryan Fitzpatrick said. "They weren't running crazy schemes, they were out there just playing us."
The Jets defense picked Fitzpatrick off three times, including a Darrelle Revis interception on the Bills' first drive and a Antonio Cromartie pick that was returned 40 yards for a touchdown.
"Versus great players, especially someone of Revis' caliber, you can't make late throws," Fitzpatrick said. "It's a tough team."
The Bills were not caught off guard by the Jets' unveiling of the Wildcat package with Tim Tebow. Buffalo held Tebow to 11 yards on five carries. Tebow was on the field for 12 plays, taking eight snaps from the quarterback position, one as a slot receiver and three on special teams.
"I can't say that we were surprised because I think that we worked on everything we could possibly have worked on in the last two weeks to get ready for their stuff," Bills head coach Chan Gailey said. "When [Tebow] came out as an H-back, as a quarterback, when Sanchez was out and he was in there, we had seen it all and I thought that we contained that package pretty well."
Even rookie cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who was burned for two TDs by fellow rookie Stephen Hill, wasn't at all shocked by the looks the Jets came out with.
"We weren't surprised, most of what we watched on film, they did," Gilmore said. "We just have to capitalize on the plays and the calls."
The most confusing formation the Jets came out of against the Bills was when they brought in recently acquired tackle Jason Smith in as an extra tight end to help protect Mark Sanchez.
"They put in a tackle as a tight end, they even blocked with him on play-action passes, which we didn't think they would do, but it's something you have to adjust to," Bills defensive end Mario Williams said.
The Jets' offensive line gave Sanchez plenty of time in the pocket, allowing for him to throw for 266 yards and three touchdowns in what was probably the biggest surprise of the day for Buffalo.
"It's probably the best I've seen him look personally," linebacker Nick Barnett said. "On the field the threw the ball on time, threw some back shoulders and threw some good passes. I'm not saying he's John Elway or nothing, but he had a good game."

Glad the fool is gone.

Fitzpatrick is probably talking about the defence, who were pretty vanilla once we were well ahead. Hopefully when Coples becomes better adjusted, and Landry and Bell even more comfortable, then the defence will be even more smothering than they were for the first half of the game (the long TD run they gave up to Spiller aside).

On offense too, even after that impressive performance, there's still room for them to grow.

It was certainly a promising start.

A stat I keep bringing up. When Schotty was here as OC, all of our QBs had around a 6 YPA. Yesterday was Sanchez's 2nd highest YPA of his career, the only time it was higher was vs the Bengals in the playoffs but he only threw 15 passes.

The offense had more flow to it and WRs were getting open. Sanchez seemed confident and decisive, they say that he has a great grasp of this offense and it showed yesterday.

Fitzpatrick is simply not a good quarterback and I have been saying that for years. He doesn't scare me and he certainly doesn't scare Rex Ryan. He can't handle good defenses.

With all the personnel changes over the past 3 yrs on offense, Sanchez 's change was the most important . He for the 1st time look crisp as a QB . He simply was not ready when he came out . His time in the gym to improve his legs and arm strength puts him physically much like Eli as a QB now we wait for his Brain to mature . Tebow looks like he would be a deadly player at TE and H back and maybe not so much trading playing time with Mark . the back end of the defense looked scary for WR 's . early in the season we always see some fantastic plays being made but we will have to rely on the usual smart play every game day. I also think Soprano will be asset for Rex all season long .

I disagree on that. his o-line is suspect. he has no talent at WR or TE other then stevie Johnson. he relies on a running game and smarts. he has a weak arm but he's got a good football IQ. he's alot like chad pennington, but he eneds playmakers on offense to help him out. He isn't gonna carry a team but he'll manage a game and not make mistakes 9 out of 10 times
