Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite

Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:25 AM) Was he the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:26 AM) Or even close to the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:27 AM) Nice Manish leaving? Good shit
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 11:43 AM) SHJ, your boy EJ leads a very sad life
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:57 AM) haha why do you say that

Nay.

Like I just told one of my childhood neighbors on Facebook, Stevie Wonder could see that was an interception.

Interception. Unbelievably bad call. And listening to Stuart Scott interview Wilson like nothing happened and he made a great game winning play is absolutely sickening.

Easily an INT. Even the 2 scab refs right there couldn't agree. All the shit calls, skewed games and controversial finishes are piling up. NFL better get their head outta their ass and get the real refs back before any more damage is done. Almost 250 total yards in penalties last nite by my estimation. Some teams don't even rack up that much offense in an entire game. WTF???

Goodell is just a front man for the owners. He is a pawn. He does what they tell him to.

This.

The OPI should have ended the game. Besides that, it was clearly an INT.

The thing about Tagliabue is he still had some of the old school owners in the league like Wellington Mara, Bob Tisch, Georgia Frontiere, Eddie DeBartolo, and Jack Kent Cooke to deal with. IMO I don't think these newer owners really care about football the way the old school owners did. Plus Gene Upshaw was a push over as a union leader for the most part. It seems like Pete Rozelle had done most of the hard work by the time Tagliabue became the commissioner.

The NFL supports the referees' decision. Check it out on NFL.com.

The media is really starting to have at the NFL and Goodell for the crapass product they are putting out and I think it is going to come down to fans turning off their televisions and leaving seats empty to get things to change. Jerry Jones and the other money-over-game owners and Goodell will kill the NFL because they are only in it to make a profit and don't have a passion for the sport and I have better things I can do, as much as I love to watch football. If this keeps up, I can guarantee that I'll be doing other things on Sunday.

Honestly, I think that people are taking way too many liberties because these are replacement refs. A similar scenario would unfold probably the same way with regular refs. It was a close enough call, it happened at the end of the game and it couldn't be reviewed. Offensive PI is something so rarely called, that it probably wouldn't draw a whistle anyway.

How is this any worst than what Hochulu did when he gave the game to the Broncos?

1-The play wasn't properly discussed. The two refs in place disagreed on the call and rather than following the play with discussion between the refs as a team where the correct call could possibly have been made (rather than making a mistake that couldn't be overturned) it was called a TD.

2-There have been tons of mistakes every week. These aren't the typical "that wasn't pass interference" mistakes, but huge mistakes in spotting, awarding extra downs and timeouts and challenges and now not following correct procedures that results in a play that, without question, changed the result of a game incorrectly. It isn't just one big mistake, but consistent mistakes that have impacted a number of games and now flat out changed the result for two teams that both appear to be good enough to make playoffs. This potentially impacts fans who want to see their teams in the postseason as well as the players and teams, as hosting and making and playing in playoff games leads to bonuses and increased revenue. I'm pretty sure making a mistake that results in millions of dollars in loss is considered a serious mistake in most occupations.

3-What the hell does it matter that it was the end of the game? You're for contentious calls at the end of a game just getting resolved ASAP so you can go the fridge or something?
