Jets WR Santonio Holmes has lisfranc injury
The Jets still aren't sure if Holmes' left foot has a broken left foot, but they are sure that it's a lisfranc injury. That's one of the worst foot injuries possible and makes it 99 percent likely Holmes will miss the remainder of the season. Holmes' MRI results have been viewed by foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson. Holmes may see Anderson in-person for a second opinion, but that decision hasn't been made yet. 4 minutes ago

Honestly, I feel bad for the guy and I wish him a full recovery, but I'm kind of happy he's gone for the season.

I want to see if the offense can finally start to gel a little more without his "leadership" in the locker room. Dude is a primadonna. Completely self centered, seemingly disinterested, and that god damn first down thing he does.

f*** it, I hope he never plays in a Jets uni again.

Come on. You can honestly say you enjoy Santonio Holmes presence on this team?

He makes everything about himself. The first down nonsense, saying pass interference affect his stats, GIVING THE BALL DIRECTLY TO THE DEFENSE BECAUSE HE WAS IN PAIN.

He has made some great plays, game winning plays and has an amazing level of talent. But I think his me first attitude has been a hindrance to Sanchez's development and has the potentially to negatively rub off on our young WRs.

I'd personally like to see Sanchez take leadership of the offense, and attempt to get Kerley and Hill to look to him for direction on how to act rather than Holmes. I don't think this is a crazy or stupid opinion.

Lisfranc Injury: The Lisfranc injury (also known as the Lisfranc fracture, Lisfranc dislocation, Lisfranc fracture dislocation, tarsometatarsal injury, or simply midfoot injury) is an injury of the foot in which one or all of the metatarsal bones are displaced from the tarsus.

I'm not going to lie, that got old after about the 5th or 6th time he did it. Just hand the ball to the ref.

It's not just Sanchez that has to step up. It's the entire offense that has to step up. It's not him who is dropping all these balls as if his fingers were made of butter.

true, but if the O keeps playin the way they're playing,Sanchez psyche is just gonna get worse, and then he's really not gonna give a f***... we need him to get angry on some Philip Rivers shit and start bein the leader he's suppose to be...

Please just let the Jets get rid of this guy now. He's not even a starting receiver. And he's a dick. And the celebrations are stupid.

I've seen the injury and I can't stand how he just throws the ball in the air. He had the ball when he it ground. It was secure then he just tossed it in the air.

Well if you didn't like Santonio last week this just gives you another reason to bitch about him some more now. It doesn't matter if he through the ball up in bounds or had thrown it out of bounds, the Jets were still going to lose that game regardless. A lot of fans complain about Holmes and Revis, well now they're both gone for the season so let's see how things go without them both.

Really tough injury to ever fully recover from. I had the fusion surgery and I still can't stay on uneven surfaces for a long time or it hurts horribly.
