Cant give the D as a whole a stud. They gave up 150+ yard rushing and 23 points. The rest is good. Cro and Mangold get the game balls from me.

It wasn't too bad a performance, but there was still plenty to improve on. The defence was better, but again was poor against the run and failed to deliver at crucial times such as when Foster was allowed to break free for a huge gain when the Texans were faced with starting a drive around their own five yard line. It said something that our two starting safeties recorded 15 tackles between them! The offense moved the ball more efficiently, but Sanchez' again completed less than 50% of his passes, saw too many balls batted at the line (JJ Watt was outstanding, but his ability to get a hand on a pass is something that should have been accounted for), while the running game was inconsistent.

Individually, Cumberland, Kerley, Cromartie and McKnight stood out for obvious reasons. McKnight even provided a little spark on offense with some decent runs, other than the huge loss on a direct snap; that play call shouldn't really have been made though.
Another criticism of Sparano's game plan were two passes in the red zone, which were deflected by Watt, one ending up an interceptions. Both throws should have been better, but why not go hard play action and roll Sanchez out - one of his strengths - rather than look for the quick slant when there is a great chance to put points on the board?
