SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:09 PM) The strip sucks. Unless you work there, anyone who lives in vegas never actually goes there. It's like Times Square
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 02:10 PM) Yeah the clubs were nice but all the bull shit and bars surrounding the pathways of the casinos were all some bull shit
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:10 PM) I found a shit load of ill strip joints about 20 min away and was just chilling there
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 02:23 PM) When I lived in Tucson I used to go to Vegas every year for Interbike. Never really liked it. Not my thing. Rather be in the mountains or on the beach or golf course. the people force handing those flyers are crazy sometimes.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:43 PM) damn near fell asleep in the jury box lol
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:44 PM) I hope the case drags on as long as it can...trying to minimize being at work as much as possible lol

HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:51 PM) I come from a very political family so I dropped that card thinking that they would excuse me
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:51 PM) I was called to jury duty in AZ after I moved to WI. When I said I moved to WI they said since I still had a AZ DL and owned a home there I had to come. So I said OK come get me nad bring me to the court house. (they are required in AZ to do so if requested). Needless to say I was excused.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:51 PM) my grandfather was a high ranking judge in NY and so is my uncle currently
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:51 PM) haha thats awesome
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:52 PM) imagine they came and got you

Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:53 PM) Sounds like it may not be as bad with Goodson. I could see him ending up with a 4 game suspension for possession, the gun charges probably going to the other guy.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:44 PM) WHERE SHOULD I GET DINNER FROM
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:49 PM) i'd order a steak from idzik but he'd just give me a hamburger and try to pass it off as steak and when i cought him in the act he'd gie me a million dollars to make up for it

Obviously if you're a JETS fan you're more invested when watching a JETS game then you are when you watch another team playing on TV say like a SNF or MNF game when the JETS aren't on...but do you notice more things between when watching another 2 teams then you do when you watch a JETS game cause you're more invested in a JETS game?
I feel different when I'm watching the JETS then I do when I watch say a SNF or a MNF game just based on my excitement level and my attention, but I also notice on how other teams play and what they do well and do badly...with the JETS I'm more on the edge of my seat, but when I watch other teams I just sit back and view the game through the perspective of a JETS fan but I'm more observant of things I don't seem to notice when watching the JETS...it's kind of weird but it's like a different view when I see a JETS game rather than any other team playing...what about you guys?

So basically what I'm saying is that when I watch the JETS I'm more focused on what happens on a particular play rather than observant on what happens during the play or before a play happens...but when I watch another team I watch for what happens before, during and after a snap cause I take a step back and see the bigger picture...

I watch other teams and wish that the Jets could be more like them. I can enjoy the games more when I don't care who wins. With the Jets I get too pissed off, except this season I have just let go of expectations and am not allowing myself to get too upset after a loss.

I watch just about every Packer game. Wife is a Packer fan and living in cheeseland now its all people here talk about on Monday. I also watch any AFC East and NFC North games when there is not a conflict. I would say I watch 3-5 games a week. I do DVR games that I want to see as well. I agree about not getting all geeked up about non Jets games though. I get excited to see the Jets play, But never any other team outside of the SB.

I don't know if my question was not clear...but do you notice little things more when watching JETS games or do you notice little things when watching other games? I notice little things in other games than I do when I watch JETS games...I wish I was able to notice the little things when watching a JETS game...but I guess I'm so invested in the outcome that I fail to look at little things like right before a snap or during a play instead of a result of a play...

I normaly look for a match up on each play. Usually something on the line of scrimmage. I would say I notice more in Jets games.

Actually its usually the exact opposite for most sports fans even though they believe different. Its a psychological fact that most sports fans are so biased for their teams its skews their points of view.As a fan of your team most people miss more than they see because of getting excited. You might feel like you are more observant but the odds say you aren't. An example of a sports situations is fans of the same team debating on and disagreeing how your team and players played a game. If everyone was calm and observant and could take the biased state of mind most everyone would agree on everything but that just isn't something that ever happens because everyone is different.

You may say this is bull but it is a known truth in the field of psychology that excessive emotions actually alter a persons point of view. Examples are things like when you get so pissed off you dont care about consequences like you would when you were calm. Also scared in life and death situations, overly excited situations, overly depressed etc. I had three years of psychology courses.

The whole point is the calmer you are in any situation the more observant you are. This attitude is taught to police, military, etc. This is also why most witnesses of crimes are actually unreliable. Because they usually aren't calm and their emotions are haywire. Its not uncommon to have six different witnesses with six different stories even though they all may be telling the truth but their emotions have compromised their point of view.

Being calm and observant in emotional situations is something you usually have to work at hard because it goes against human and animal nature.

If you can remain calm without biased hate, dislike, like,or love, etc. and just try to observe as neutral as possible then you tend to get a clearer more accurate interpretation of any situations but again this usually isn't natural and it usually has to be taught and trained profusely to think like that.

Even with all those classes and police type training you will still see things differently than any other person . maybe a little more accurate but as slow motion and replay show we are wrong at least 20 % of the time.
GG3 you can only see with the set of eyes you have so your vantage point is always the same. most likely you are so disappointed that what you see makes you just slam down a tall beer and you loose focus . the Jets are missing the IT Factor and we say well what is the IT factor and it will be different for everyone.coeaches have to reveiw the game to see what just happened and so must we all.:)
