Jetsfan0099 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 04:53 PM) Sounds like it may not be as bad with Goodson. I could see him ending up with a 4 game suspension for possession, the gun charges probably going to the other guy.

Time runs out on Mark, Eva

Actress Eva Longoria ended her romance with New York Jet Mark Sanchez last week, and the quarterback is devastated, sources tell Page Six.

The 25-year-old NFL star has been telling friends that he and the “Desperate Housewives” star, 37, decided to end things before Sunday’s game, after four months of dating.

One source told us, “Mark says he is really upset about the breakup with Eva. He is telling friends he tried everything he could to make her happy, and to make things work between them, but they live in very different worlds.”

She lives in Los Angeles, is doing a lot of philanthropic and political work, and is developing a number of TV shows, including the NBC dating series ‘Ready for Love.’ ”

The couple had been dating since the summer, and were first seen together in June, partying in the West Village. The Post spotted lovely Longoria hanging with Sanchez at an outdoor lunch near his home in Bedminster, NJ, in early September.

Longoria then told her pal Mario Lopez on “Extra,” “We’re just happy dating.” But weeks later, she tried to temper things by telling Chelsea Handler that they had only been dating “for a second,” adding, “He’s great! [But] he’s focused right now on football.”

Longoria, ex-wife of San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker, was absent at the Jets’ loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, tweeting the Malibu sunset. Yesterday, she was campaigning for President Obama in Nevada.

Our source added that Sanchez has been trying to get over the break with a series of nights out with friends. He was spotted out with pals at the Darby on Friday, and then on Monday had a low-key dinner with friends at Toy Restaurant. A spy said, “He was very shy, dressed down in a long-sleeve button-down and jeans.”

A rep for Sanchez said last night, “It was really more about scheduling . . . they will remain close friends.”

Gotta love the NY media machine. Pick and probe, pick and probe.

Although his demeanor on the field sometimes seems as if he doesn't care. Or he's become numb to the scrutiny. Likely the latter.
