ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:03 PM) we need to get rid of Sanchez
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) he's a completely weak-minded individual
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) already back to doing what he did last season THROWING INT's
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:53 PM) buttfumble on thanksgiving was the low point of his career
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?

Our world and this website were quieter Sunday with the New York Jets hidden away on their bye week.

Coach
Rex Ryan admits his 3-5 Jets don't belong in that conversation. The already super-hushed Tebow Zone came to a grinding halt; the weekly picking apart of quarterbackMark Sanchez was set aside for more productive pursuits; and we also focused on legitimate playoff contenders.

"I can't tell you how excited I am," Ryan told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News on Monday. "I know we're not where we want to be. We're not even close. We're not sniffing the playoffs. We're not sniffing anything right now. But I want to get there. I'm excited about the prospects in front of us."

"We will be doing some different things," Ryan said. "I don't want to get into the specifics of it ... If there's an advantage to be gained, then I want to gain that advantage without letting our opponent know. I'm excited about trying to implement some of these things."
Ryan told Mehta he isn't switching quarterbacks, but used the bye to patch up areas of concern. Ryan borrowed from Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton's suggestion box and allowed his assistants to offer tweaks of every flavor and variety.

Added Ryan: "I'm not going to say that they're radical."

Maybe not this week, but radical changes -- not tweaks -- can't be far away if the Jets continue their underwhelming path through what's rapidly becoming a lost campaign.

Season's not over. Jets are still in the hunt for a wildcard spot. It isn't officially over until the math says otherwise. The team's performance isn't really helping that case but nonetheless, Jets are still in it.

I don't get why he announced anything at all

If they are trying to keep quiet about the changes they are making to use as an advantage
Why bother saying anything!?!?

I agree why say anything just to say you are trying to keep things quiet? :sterb041:

Do you think the fans or other teams are morons???

If there isn't going to be a qb change it absolutely means one thing..... more Tebow gimmick plays.Everyone knows this. Yay. :banghead:

If you are going to put Tebow in leave him in or leave him out and stick with Sanchez. This switching qb`s hasn't worked so far and it still wont work.
Personally Id be happy if they both left town and Mcelroy was given the job for the remainder of the year. If he sucks we draft a qb if he is good then even better. Either way this team isnt going anywhere long term with Sanchez or Tebow.

There aren't any tweaks. The OL needs to open up holes for Greene and Hill needs to learn to catch.

They haven't changed anything but want everyone to believe they have
instead they are just refining things.

I agree.

I'm betting we don't see any difference and the reason he said this is because he likes to hear himself talk.

1 int for every 4 tis is a pretty nice ratio to me

Bottomfeeder Tracker: 6-17 vs teams with a winning record.

Sometimes I find myself missing the days of Mangini's media silence. It would be refreshing if Rex just STFU once in a while especially after the debacle that was the end last season and the hot pile of crap that this season is turning into.

I don't think radical changes are needed. The team from our quarterback, to the offensive line, to the defence and special teams need to do the fundamentals far better than they done so far this season. There have been too many mental errors and silly penalties. Our offensive line play has been inconsistent, receivers have dropped balls and on the other side of the ball we've missed tackles and covered poorly.
If we do improve the basics I don't think we'll be good enough to make the playoffs. But we'll certainly have far less to moan about and fewer losses as ugly as those to San Francisco and Miami.

Because Rex has diarrhea of the mouth (a severe case)
