Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article

Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game

SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1

Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 10:51 AM) About time
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 11:22 AM) Was he "not even in the 2nd tier"? No. STFU
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:25 AM) Was he the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:26 AM) Or even close to the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:27 AM) Nice Manish leaving? Good shit
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 11:43 AM) SHJ, your boy EJ leads a very sad life

Rex Ryan voted most overrated

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan was voted the most overrated coach in the NFL, according to an anonymous midseason players poll conducted by Sporting News.

Of the 103 players from 27 teams who were polled, 35 voted for Ryan. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick finished second with 16 votes, while Philadelphia Eagles Andy Reid finished third with nine votes.

"His coaching style is over the top," an AFC offensive player told Sporting News. "Some of the things he does in front of the cameras are way over the top. You put that with the New York media and he has a pretty big reputation, I guess.

"I don't even know if you'd call him overrated anymore because it's gonna be a couple of years since he was in the AFC finals. He's pretty funny, and he's a pretty good coach. But not THAT good."

Ryan, known for his bravado and failed Super Bowl guarantees, led the Jets to two consecutive AFC Championship Game berths in his first two seasons at the helm. But the team missed the playoffs in 2011, and is on pace to miss them again in 2012.

Coming into the season, Ryan said he felt his team had a chance to be the best Jets team he's ever had since taking over the reins in 2009. But halfway into the season, the Jets are just 3-5, tied for last place in the AFC East Division with the Buffalo Bills.

Players who participated in the poll were not allowed to vote for their own coach.

Not as overrated as the Harbaugh in Baltimore. Otherwise he is about the most. On the other hand, why should I care what playeds who think BB is overrated think?

Really? Who gives a flying fvck if the other team's players thinkhe;s overrated or not? Are they supposed to heap praise on him and dump on their own coach or something? These polls are ALWAYS bull$hit and everyone knows it. Rex has a winning record and thats the only thing that matters. What he needs to STOP doing is allowing Woody to bring in players just to sell PSLs rather than bring in actual TALENT to back up our QB and bring in some WR's who can actually CATCH a football. Everything else will take care of itself. His bravado and all of that $hit I could care less about. Anyone that has a problem with it needs to just honestly $hut the fvck up because any coach that doesn't have confidence in themselves has no business being in the league. I guess everyone wants the overrated as hell Bill Cowher (bum), Bill Parcells (bum), or Bill Bellichump (bum/cheat) right? Cowher never did anything himself and road the tails of Dick Lebeau and anyone that says any different doesn't know dick about football because Cowher won on the backs of the defense and Jerome Bettis. Other than those, he didn't do $hit. Bill Parcells was a fvcking scumbag that takes teams to the brink of winning something and then abandons them for a bigger payceck claiming he's going to "retire" but never does. Bellichump? I don't even need to say anything because his record speaks for itself. As$wipe hasn't won a damn thing outside of regular season games without getting caught cheating. So who else do you guys have that isn't "overrated" in mind to be the next coach? Jon "Chucky" Gruden?

Rex has a better winning percentage than Chucky. Chucky's .540 regular season & .556 post season while Rex is .554 regular season & .667 post season.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!

Rex has a winning record so is good but other winning coaches are bums. At least some of those guys built/rebuilt teams into better than what they weee. The Jets have gotten worse under Ryan and it shows in talenr but also in preparation and that we lose against winning teams much more than not.
