The coaching staff had TWO weeks to prepare for this game. Two full weeks! It's not a question of personnel. It's not the fault of the OL that they can't slide protection and thus allow unempeded pass rushers to get into the backfield. It's not entirely on Sanchez that he doesn't check out of a 5 step drop when he sees an overload blitz coming. It's not on the RBs or WRs. Week in and week out, we're unprepared and out coached. Rex is a glorified DC. I have no idea who runs our offense but if you can't formulate a single point on offense after two weeks of prep time, you need to stop cashing your checks.

I Just Realized Something... ...it made me even sadder.

This team has always done bad following bye weeks under Rex, usually because he gives them the extra week off. Though he said he wasn't going to do that this year, superstorm sandy forced it.
I just hope that if Rex is fired, Tannenbaum is fired and we start fresh. New GM, new HC, new QB...

That's lack of talent for you. Maybe if Ryan had anyone talented he would bother coaching them.

When things go bad people look back and question why teams stuck with people, and that is fair. The Jets over the last three to four seasons have put themselves in a position where they had no choice who to go with. Mark? Has he ever had a particularly good backup? Hunter? We went all in on him after a few good games and didn't have a backup plan even after an entire season of him being horrible. Receiver, RB, TE, safety. So little talent has been brought in, and that is the major question. Age and lack of depth have killed this team.
But I don't believe we are just this garbage untalented team some people are making us out to be. The defense has a fair bit of talent and the offense has a decent line and some adequate players. This team isn't just a bunch of nobodies. We've drafted for mostly defense every year except when we got Mark and Greene and where is it getting us? Our highest profile additions outside of the draft have been overrated receivers and Cro and Scott and still our defense now isn't that good. Mark has to be assigned blame, but what has this team done to help him grow?
This franchise has failed and failed hard for the last couple of years and it is pretty clear the two AFC championships that started off the Ryan era were somewhere between inherited-success and beginner's luck.
