SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII

Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."

Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season

SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1

Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 10:50 AM) Manish leaving jets beat
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 10:51 AM) About time
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 11:22 AM) Was he "not even in the 2nd tier"? No. STFU
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:25 AM) Was he the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:26 AM) Or even close to the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:27 AM) Nice Manish leaving? Good shit
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 11:43 AM) SHJ, your boy EJ leads a very sad life
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:57 AM) haha why do you say that
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 12:03 PM) I'm friends with SHJ on Facebook and I replied "TEH KNICKS" then EJ recognized my name and started commenting saying shit
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) He then goes "yeah and f*** the Knicks" I wanted to tell him he doesn't know what that joke is because he's banned

McKnight will try WR with Jets

Joe McKnight has played running back and cornerback this season. Now, the Jets are trying him at wide receiver.

With several injuries to their wide receiving corps, the Jets are experimenting with McKnight at the position this week. The Jets worked with him in practice yesterday and McKnight said he is not sure what it means in regard to Sunday’s game against the Cardinals at MetLife Stadium.

Both Clyde Gates and Chaz Schilens suffered concussions in the loss to the Patriots on Thursday. Gates’ concussion appears to be serious; he was not on the practice field yesterday. Schilens practiced but was not permitted to speak to the media afterward. The team cited the league’s policy on head injuries.

CATCHING ON: Joe McKnight could play in his third position of the season against the Cardinals on Sunday, as the Jets worked him out at wide receiver yesterday.
Jeremy Kerley also was not at practice. He has been battling hamstring and heel injuries and has not returned punts the last two weeks.

McKnight was briefly used at cornerback this year when the Jets were thin at the position because of injuries.

The Jets have no creativity, McKnight has a lot of talent and they don't use him to his full ability. They should have played him more at WR a while ago, he can be a factor running the ball and catching the ball.

Agreed he should see the field more, even as a running back. He's definitely the best receiving back we have. Instead of allowing him to demonstrate that though, we've persisted in giving too many carries/touches to Shonn Greene because of Rex's ill-advised emphasis on ground and pound.

Seems like most of us have that weird feeling that McKnight as an eagle or saint or viking or dolphin or 49er would be a 600yd Rb just by catching short passes and sweeps

Definitely agree. He reminds me of Reggie Bush.

Are you saying he could be like our own version of darren sproles? If so, yes I agree. Apparently our front office and coaches don't see it.

First they wanted to try McKnight as a DB now they want him as a WR. This is not the f-cking PAC-10 or 12. He left college awhile ago. This team is a$$ backwards. He's a pro RB and should be used as that. They drafted Hill from a school know for not throwing to WR but used them as blockers. Hill sucks. Don't ruined McKnight's career like Tebow's career. The gimmick is over. This team is not going to win out and get in the playoffs. Scrap this team and start over with new staff and players.

yeah, ground and pound for 3 yards unless we need 3!

I don't think it's as desperate or crazy a move as trying him out at CB. Not in the slightest. McKnight has good hands, so it makes sense to use him in the slot where he can get into space and use his legs from there. As a running back, he'll be used to motioning out from the backfield, so it won't be exactly alien to him.
Even though he's had a couple fumbles recently, he's capable of making plays. And that's what we need on offense. If he can be half the player Reggie Bush or Darren Sproles is then great.

It shows how bad this team is that people want the backup QB and third string RB in more when they've hardly ever done anything. This isn't like Greene has some first round pick behind him. He's got a dude who pukes when he sprints.

1 int for every 4 tis is a pretty nice ratio to me
