So I said OK come get me nad bring me to the court house. (they are required in AZ to do so if requested). Needless to say I was excused.

Joe McKnight has played running back and cornerback this season. Now, the Jets are trying him at wide receiver.

With several injuries to their wide receiving corps, the Jets are experimenting with McKnight at the position this week. The Jets worked with him in practice yesterday and McKnight said he is not sure what it means in regard to Sunday’s game against the Cardinals at MetLife Stadium.

Both Clyde Gates and Chaz Schilens suffered concussions in the loss to the Patriots on Thursday. Gates’ concussion appears to be serious; he was not on the practice field yesterday. Schilens practiced but was not permitted to speak to the media afterward. The team cited the league’s policy on head injuries.

CATCHING ON: Joe McKnight could play in his third position of the season against the Cardinals on Sunday, as the Jets worked him out at wide receiver yesterday.
Jeremy Kerley also was not at practice. He has been battling hamstring and heel injuries and has not returned punts the last two weeks.

McKnight was briefly used at cornerback this year when the Jets were thin at the position because of injuries.

The Jets have no creativity, McKnight has a lot of talent and they don't use him to his full ability. They should have played him more at WR a while ago, he can be a factor running the ball and catching the ball.

Agreed he should see the field more, even as a running back. He's definitely the best receiving back we have. Instead of allowing him to demonstrate that though, we've persisted in giving too many carries/touches to Shonn Greene because of Rex's ill-advised emphasis on ground and pound.

Seems like most of us have that weird feeling that McKnight as an eagle or saint or viking or dolphin or 49er would be a 600yd Rb just by catching short passes and sweeps

Are you saying he could be like our own version of darren sproles? If so, yes I agree. Apparently our front office and coaches don't see it.

First they wanted to try McKnight as a DB now they want him as a WR. This is not the f-cking PAC-10 or 12. He left college awhile ago. This team is a$$ backwards. He's a pro RB and should be used as that. They drafted Hill from a school know for not throwing to WR but used them as blockers. Hill sucks. Don't ruined McKnight's career like Tebow's career. The gimmick is over. This team is not going to win out and get in the playoffs. Scrap this team and start over with new staff and players.

I don't think it's as desperate or crazy a move as trying him out at CB. Not in the slightest. McKnight has good hands, so it makes sense to use him in the slot where he can get into space and use his legs from there. As a running back, he'll be used to motioning out from the backfield, so it won't be exactly alien to him.
Even though he's had a couple fumbles recently, he's capable of making plays. And that's what we need on offense. If he can be half the player Reggie Bush or Darren Sproles is then great.

It shows how bad this team is that people want the backup QB and third string RB in more when they've hardly ever done anything. This isn't like Greene has some first round pick behind him. He's got a dude who pukes when he sprints.
