Jetsfan0099 Icon : (27 August 2014 - 10:18 PM) the excuses, Hill is just a terrible football player. no debate, just a fact. guy is soft as shit as well
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:43 AM) right cause all our other WRs were lighting it up
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 07:04 PM) Hill is useless bro lol
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:05 PM) All I can say I streamed this game and if anyone thinks about recording it from NFL Network at 4pm Eastern Saturday.....DONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:07 PM) This game was pure sh1t. Even though it was back up players the Jets got totally destroyed in this game. After seeing this game Im really worried about the Jets starting core because these backup guys looked like they shouldn't have even been on the field at all. I just hope the starters are 3000 times better than these guys that played in game 4
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:09 PM) The Jets got horse f*cked by the Eagles in this game.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:24 PM) we are hosed in the secondary
ganggreen2003 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:26 PM) we need to cut this assclown patterson
ganggreen2003 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:34 PM) did Hill get cut yet?
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:36 PM) lol. We might need to look at the Eagles cuts for possible 2nd and 3rd stringers
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:36 PM) If they keep ZHill after this game I will be shocked.
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:38 PM) Philly gave us a worse ass whipping than Detroit gave Buffalo. only difference is we scored
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 09:42 PM) Im just wondering what manning will put up on our secondary? 70?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:12 PM) who cares about getting destroyed in a preseason game, especially the 4th one. Most of these guys won't even make the team
ganggreen2003 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:15 PM) Hill cut yet?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:18 PM) FIRE IDZIK
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:21 PM) Yeah this game means nothing...except to Stephen Hill (who fumbled lol) and 115
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:23 PM) Hill is a bum, hes pretty much never shown much football skill. The Jets fucked up big time taking him over Alshon Jeffery.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:29 PM) I'm still pissed off about that
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:43 PM) Its not that Im worried about the preseason game itself. i could care less about that. Its the fact of how bad we got destroyed. And some of the guys will be on the team and others on the fringe so getting destroyed like that doesnt fill me with confidence
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:44 PM) It would be one thing if it was just the second half or 4th quarter but this was the whole game. especially getting destroyed in the 1st quarter and at least part of the 2nd where a lot of the guys will be on the team
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:48 PM) 2nd and 3rd stringers making the team had something to prove and even our 2nd stringers got owned so yes Im very concerned. The first stringers need breaks and also if some of them get injured they need to step up. So no after this performance start to finish Im very concerned
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 06:39 AM) Meh...you're reading too much into it
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 06:40 AM) Even in seasons where the Jets blew, I haven't seen anyone refer to the preseason to complain. Ever.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 09:15 AM) fire izdik http://theredzone.or...rs/Default.aspx
Jetsman05 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 11:17 AM) I picture Rob and 115 as real life friends
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 04:01 PM) Holmes can still play, problem is that hes also a cancer. He wore out his welcome with the Jets
ganggreen2003 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 08:23 PM) did Hill get cut?
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 09:00 PM) Haven't seen anything yet
MikeGangGree... Icon : (29 August 2014 - 09:06 PM) Whos ready for the season!!? WOOOOO
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 11:54 AM) Hill has been cut
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 01:24 PM) Who wants to take bets he ends up in NE
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 02:18 PM) We'll I guess you guys are fools then in thinking im a fool for being concerned. Do any of you even know that in 2013 the Jets gave up the most passing yards in the franchise since 1986? And our secondary right now is worse than last year right now. To not be concerned is utterly foolish.
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 02:19 PM) Unless our d-line has a monstrous year odds are the team will be eaten up in the pass. Every team will game plan to exploit the pass this year.
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) Patterson got cut
flood555 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:24 PM) Patterson must have been a huge cancer to get cut
flood555 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:26 PM) is there a midseason draft? we need a DB!
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:58 PM) Our week 1 starting CBs will be Antonio Allen and Darrin Walls... wow
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:58 PM) interesting that Simms and Boyd were released
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) No more McIntyre
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 05:20 PM) Pretty sure some of these cuts like Simms and McIntyre were made for removing some more cap space to try to find some decent corners and maybe another reliable wr. Possibly get some players cheap. I'd say the current 53 roster will change a good bit in the next week.
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 05:23 PM) I just hope Geno doesn't get hurt or we are horse f*cked. Vick sure as hell can't stay healthy for a full season. I guess the FO could also be think of picking up an old vet cut as 3rd qb. Simms is ok but I'd never trust him to win a regular season game if he was put in.
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 05:25 PM) Anyway it's going yo be an interesting week.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:18 PM) I doubt it was about freeing up money, considering we are way under. Like more than $20 mil, way more than enough to find some vet minimum CB
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:19 PM) it's more about the roster numbers. McIntyre was replaced by rookies. IK showed flashes when he played

Bart Scott rips Jets fans for heckling players on Thanksgiving night
BY MANISH MEHTA
B
BY GARY MYERS
DAILY NEWS COLUMNIST

Bart Scott has a message for Jets fans who mercilessly heckled the team as it walked to the locker room at halftime following the 52 Seconds From Hell against the Patriots: He doesn’t care what you say or think.

“At the end of the day, if you made it to be able to put an NFL uniform on, then you are one of the best athletes in the world,” Scott told the Daily News. “The person yelling at you probably was picked last in dodge ball all through high school. So do you care about the opinion of them? No.”

Scott’s comments came as Deadspin posted a video depicting an ugly scene as Jets players and coaches headed to the locker room entrance directly behind their bench following a humiliating 35-3 first half against New England. Disgusted and furious Jets fans who couldn’t take it anymore hurled expletives at their heroes from less than 10 feet away.

The comments tossed at the Jets were filled with such venom it was a bit surprising not one player fired back as Rex Ryan did last year, costing him a $75,000 fine. They all just kept walking.

Scott insisted Wednesday that he didn’t hear the fans berating the team, even though he was within point-blank range. Maybe it’s because, like the rest of the players, he had his helmet on, even though the helmets don’t come equipped with earplugs.

When informed of the comments captured on video, Scott said the Jets have become conditioned to their fans yelling nasty things at them at home.

“That’s what we always get. We get stuff like that all the time,” he said. “Trust me, that’s not out of the ordinary. You get that behind our bench while we are playing. Trust me, there’s been worse stuff said behind there.”

I asked Scott, who most likely is playing his last five games with the Jets, if he can understand how frustration can lead to these outbursts. “Does it make it right?” he said. “Some of the personal attacks — I can only imagine.”

It’s been a rough week for the Jets and their fans. At just about the same time Fireman Ed was leaving MetLife Stadium on Thanksgiving night and subsequently retiring as the unofficial team mascot, an angry group congregated at the railing at the bottom of one of the expensive Coaches Club sections of the stadium as the half ended. They group was in an area that directly overlooks the path the players take to the locker room.

The Coaches Club seats come with at least a $20,000 PSL and $700-per-game ticket price, but fans can also buy them on a per-game basis on the secondary market. Fans from other sections of the stadium can’t move to empty seats in the Coaches Club because those sections have a separate entrance. Was Scott surprised it was the fans in the highest-priced seats who were giving them such a hard time?

“No,” he said. “Those are the ones who feel more entitled. I would love to go to his job and see what he does and sit in his ear and talk stuff.”

As the Jets paraded past the fans, here’s a sampling of some of verbal grenades that came their way accompanied by loud boos:

“You are pathetic. Every one of you.”
“You suck!”
“Un f---ingbelievable!”
“You guys are a disgrace!”
“You are bums!”
“You’re terrible!”
“Tebow, I want you in the second half!”
“You should be ashamed of yourself!”
“Tebow, save us!”
“Tebow!”
“You suck Sanchez!”
“Don’t even come out after halftime!”
“Garbage! Garbage! Garbage!”

None of them was chanting,
J-E-T-S. Jets. Jets. Jets. After all, Fireman Ed had left the building.

Tebow, who was active despite having two broken ribs, said he didn’t hear the fans chanting for him as he left the field at the half. He said he tries not to pay attention to anything the fans say. “I didn’t even hear any of it,” he said. “I didn’t see any of the videos.”

At MetLife Stadium, the Jets exit the locker room and enter the field before the game through a tunnel in the corner of the end zone. At halftime, they enter the locker room through a side door 15 or so yards behind their bench. Fans from the Coaches Club seats are allowed to stand in a small area on the field just outside the field level club. These fans, virtually within arm’s length of the players when they near the locker room, were not yelling at them. One of them was taking a video with his cell phone.

The Jets had given up touchdowns to the Patriots on offense, defense and special teams in 52 seconds of the second quarter to fall behind 28-0 with 8:51 still left before the half. Fans pay good money and have the right to express their opinion when they don’t feel they are getting their money’s worth, but sometimes they cross the line. Jets fans were hardly in the holiday spirit after leaving the Thanksgiving table to spend the evening with the Jets.

Antonio Cromartie, the second player to enter the area leading to the locker room at the half, actually slapped hands with one of the fans above him as he neared the entrance before the crowd got loud and angry.

“It comes with the territory,” Scott said. “The same people two years ago were cheering, “We love you, we love.” They love you, they hate you. That’s what you sign up for. As long as they don’t put their hands on you, who cares what they say? Because they don’t know that they don’t know. We’re doing something that they couldn’t do.”

I asked Ryan on Wednesday whether he felt the Jets needed to win back the fans.
“No, but I’ll say this — I think obviously the fans were as upset as we were,” he said. “That was obviously a very disappointing performance. Like I said after the game, the fans deserve better. We all deserve better.”

The Jets have two jobs Sunday: Beat the Cardinals, who are on a seven-game losing streak and, like the Jets, are 4-7, and not get beaten down by their fans.

Maybe if they performed better fans wouldn't heckle at them. Its just that simple. This coming from an asshole who does nothing but complain and underperformed. He had one good tackle in the Thanksgiving game. Scott suck period. He's passed his prime. His mutiny against the media flopped. He's got nothing left in the tank. Him and Rex should be gone next year

I don't care what your feelings are about this team. As a paying fan, you have every right to boo your team. But that video was disgusting and just further proof of why people across the country think NY fans are pieces of shit.

Disgusting.

I may not be good enough to perform well on a NFL field (and apparently neither is Bart Scott), but I at least know and understand what a boycott is. If he can't even commit to his own self imposed boycott I could just imagine what he would've been like if he had been alive in 1956 in Montgomery, Alabama. His stupid ass probably would have taken a bus to a NAACP meeting.

BTW Bart I never once got picked last in dodgeball or any other sport (even baseball and I hated playing boringball). Yet I still think you're old, slow, and playing awful. I think it's safe to say we Jets fans care just as much about what Bart Scott has to say about us as he claims to care about what we say about him.

1) He is a racist. By constantly using race as a battling tool.
2) He is an extreme Liberal. If you are on either extreme you are probabaly more wrong than right.
3) He is one of those people who will never admit fault, error or defeat.
4)His life sucks and he takes it out on people who don't share in his views.

If my opponent in whatever job competition I was in whooped my ass 35-3 halfway through it, I'd be fired on the spot. This is a team of entitled millionaires who don't deserve to cash their checks.

I agree but he was right about one thing, they are the best in the world at what they do. Many people would love to be in their positions but they're not good enough. But sometimes it's hard to believe the players on this team are better than the average Joe. The average Joe would at least act like they gave a shit about the way their performance looked on the field.

I'm so ready for this season to be over with.

This is a player who has never performed up to the level of play he was supposed to with this team. When he was recruited in the middle of the night by Ryan and signed to a huge contract it was with the supposition that he was going to be the Ray Lewis of the Jets. He was supposed to be an elite player who embodied leadership. Well, he has embodied all the worse things about the team the last few years. Under-performing, a clown in the media, no leadership.

Bart Scott was a terrible signing by the Jets. People talk about Pace, but Pace got six years and forty-two million. Scott got six more million over the same span. Pace hasn't been an elite LB, but he has also never lost starts like Scott has and Scott is halfway through his contract. Bart Scott wasn't just a guy who didn't get picked last, he was a guy who was picked first by a foolish organization and doesn't even try to exemplify any positive traits. Poor performance, poor interaction with the media and fans and his own team and he acts like any Jets fans owe him anything. Chad Pennington gets a raw deal when anyone sells him short. Bart Scott is just a piece of shit who has had things handed to him for years and wants to act like he earned something. Looking at Curtis Martin to see who learned something from having nothing you unappreciative shit.

Bart Scott getting fired?

You guys are so f***ing twisted. You have NEVER AND LIKELY WILL NEVER deal with the pressure these guys are under. They are the absolute top of their profession. The top 32 at each position. There are only 32 starting QB's, Free Safeties, Head Coaches, etc. in the WORLD at any one time.

NOT ONLY ARE THEY THE TOP AT WHAT THE DO...BU THEY ARE IN DIRECT COMPETITION THE OTHER TOP 31 IN THE WORLD.

For starters, I doubt anyone on this board is in the top 32 in the world at their profession. Secondly, if any of you are you aren't in direct competition with the other 31...under constant media scrutiny dissecting everything you do while at work. The general public judging you all the time...it's bullshit.

Get f***ing real...if you were in direct competition with the other top professionals in your career...chances are you would get your ass whooped every time.

There's a reason very few coaches have ever retired on their own accord...even the most successful. Cowher is the only one I can think of...

AND THAT PATHETIC DISPLAY OF "FANS" YELLING AT THE JETS AS THEY ENTERED THE LOCKER ROOM. GROW THE f*** UP!!! THOSE DISGRACES SHOULD BE SO ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES...

GOOD FOR ED ANZALONE FOR WALKING AWAY FROM THIS MESS OF TRULY PATHETIC PEOPLE....I WOULD TOO.

NFL players are very fairly compensated for what they do, especially the stars. Bart Scott makes so much money he could lead my life 96 times over. He is PAID to travel around the country. Think I ever got to profit off a funny comment I made?

I just moved 1300 miles to a state I know zero other people in (other than my wife) to pursue job advancement opportunities with my company and if I f*** up I don't have millions of dollars to fall back on. I had to pay to move out here and that was everything I had. I don't have the parachute off royalties or the promise of being able to make guest appearance on ESPN. This isn't the thirties where NFL players have offseason jobs to make ends meet. I feel bad for a dude who is a backup and is struggling to stay in the league and people dump on him. I don't feel bad for Bart Scott for being overpaid and not deserving it, anymore than I feel bad for people ridiculing a CEO who fucks up and doesn't deserve his pay, a chef who charges more than his shitty food is worth or anyone else.

I agree players shouldn't scream obscenities at players. They should stop showing up for the overpriced games to watch a team get their ass handed to them from start to finish without so much as one drive's worth of real effort.

Fans have the right to boo and show their frustration when the team performs like that, it wasn't like they were losing a close game, they were the joke of the NFL that week.e Absolutely deserved to be booed, I don't feel bad for players, that is just part of the game and they make more than enough to get over it.

Heckling Fireman Ed is not the same as heckling the players. Ed is there on his own dime, he is the face of the fans. The team is paid millions to perform. When fans go to the game, they deserve to see a competitive show. Fans spend their own money buying an assortment of Jets items to show their team pride, it would be nice to the see the players do the same. As long as these players aren't being physically hurt or having stuff thrown at them, the heckling comes with the paychecks and the profession. If you get paid what they get paid, you would be under the same spot light. Scott has no right to blast the fans. Go out and do your job, make sure your team does it's job, and the fans will shut up and cheer for you. You don't perform day in and day out? Yeah you deserve it.

Actually......Ed's not there on his own dime unless he finally started to pay his own way again. The team used to comp him his tickets and even flew him to various away games. For him to walk away just put him in with any other "fair weather" fans. Fvck him.

As for what Bart said, I agree with him. The only people that can talk $hit to him are the people that have also made it into the league and have played either side by side with him or against him. Other than that, if you haven't made it to the pros and have gone through it all, then B.S. has every right to fire back. A person can only take so much negativity. Whent he team was winning with a top 5 defense that Bart was a part of, people were cheering him & calling him an animal. Now, 3 years later, he's too old & slow and should be fired because the team is in the middle of a $hit season following a 500 season. Wow. Big surprise right? I'm willing to bet most people doing the b!tching weren't around or weren;t Jets fans when some of us endured the real $hit seasons like 95 going 1-15.

Either way.......the players ARE going ou there and doing their jobs. Maybe not to the level that we'd like but it's not like we're being blown out week in week out either. Our biggest issue is the Offense being inept. We have no real #1 receiver and no #2 either for that matter. Our best receiver right now would be a #3 at best on any other team. We have a QB that has no confidence in himself because it's been obvious the coaching staff have none in him if they've been putting in a publicity stunt every few plays to disrupt any potential rythm. Today was HOPEFULLY something that would smack Rex upside the head and let him see that McElroy deserves a shot considering he did get the Offense moving against a top 10 defense.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!

He has every right to fire back, but he is a PoS who doesn't deserve what he is making. I thought getting Scott was an overrated move at the time and it still is. As to who can criticize who, if you have to be in the trenches with him to criticize him, he has to be in my shoes to shoot back. If he came into my store and wasn't satisfied with his experience I wouldn't get to tell him that until he worked with me he didn't get to complain. Football players are part of a product, when the product sucks the consumer has every right to complain.

Please just because you've never done the same job as somebody else doesn't mean you can't criticize their performance in that job. You've never been the POTUS but you've criticized President Obama's job performance before. You've never played in the NFL or in division 1 college football but I've seen you criticize Tim Tebow on here before. If Bart Scott is above criticism simply because we fans have never played in the NFL before then Tim Tebow is above criticism too. Plus if we're not qualified to criticize them when they are performing badly then we are also not qualified to praise them when they play well. Meaning no fan anywhere is qualified to boo them or cheer them. Basically we should just sit and watch the games totally emotionless because we're not in a position to critique them at all with your way of thinking. That is the total opposite of what it means to be a FANatic.

Without the FANatics buying the tickets, the merchandise, the TV packages, and giving high TV ratings to the networks during NFL telecasts so the networks would pay billions for the broadcasting rights. There is no NFL and Bart Scott would be working right along side you and I regardless of how much of a better football player he is compared to us. He can be upset with us all he wants, as long as he remembers we work hard for our money too and we are WILLING to spend some of that hard earned money to fund the company he works for. Either by buying NFL products or by a large population of us joining together to spend 3 hours or more tuned into one of thousands of TV networks so the company Scott works for can charge that network we're all watching a large sum of money.

There are a few things I have realized about Mr. Jet over a few topics.
