Late in the Arizona Cardinals 7-6 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, defensive tackle Darnell Dockett and safety Kerry Rhodes were involved in an on-field incident according to KTAR 620 in Arizona.

The incident will reportedly lead to the disciplinary action being taken towards the Dockett.

Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com reports Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt was later asked about the report on the same radio station, and didn't deny what happened.

"We prefer to keep internal matters within the team and not discuss them publicly," Whisenhunt said when asked.

Got this from a Cardinals message board:

"DD spat in Rhode's face after arguing when the Cards wanted to let the Jets score at the end of the 4th so they would go up by 8 pts and our offense could get the ball back and try to score. DD was against this plan and Rhodes tried to convince him of it and the argument turned into the spitting incident. I can see where DD didn't want to...prob thought the D had a better chance of scoring...or a D pride thing. But spitting in a persons face is over the top and I bet the team suspends him."
