I saw somebody post a link to this on Facebook and I thought it was a joke at first. I thought it was originally from The Onion or something. I guess not.

Idiots Respond To NBC Pre-Empting SNF



I thought the Patriots would beat the 49ers so I decided to watch something else and check in on the game later. So I ended up watching Oprah interviewing Jamie Foxx on her network so I missed the first quarter and the preemption.

Wow people. It wasn't like they cut off the game in the closing minutes to show the movie Heidi. Damn it's just a game.

People are just idiots. National tragedy and they're complaining because the POTUS is giving his remarking on it? The ignorance is even more obvious when you read some of those tweets. That Quiverly Manhammer guy spelled "I" as "eye."

I read some of those tweets too. Now I don't have a Twitter account and have spent very little time on it before but I could not believe some of the things people tweet about. Some of the most mundane and unnecessary things I've ever read. Some of them it seemed like tweeted multiple times in a 5 or 10 minute span. It was like there was no filter between their brains and the send button. I thought some of the people on Facebook were bad, but some of these idiots on Twitter are worse. They REALLY give too much information and all that nonsense they post will be in cyber space forever. Potential employers (or employees) 10 years from now could find that stuff. One of those idiots last night said they wanted to go into the Marines. But after reading some of his tweets there is no way they'd let him in just by looking at his twitter feed.

I was more interested in the game than in Obama's speech. NBC announced that during the press conference, the game would be shown on CNBC so when they announced that they are cutting the feed, I switched channels and continued watching the game.
