Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:48 AM) It's whatever
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 10:50 AM) Manish leaving jets beat
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 10:51 AM) About time
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 11:22 AM) Was he "not even in the 2nd tier"? No. STFU
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:25 AM) Was he the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:26 AM) Or even close to the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:27 AM) Nice Manish leaving? Good shit

This is probably the most extensive poll i think that has been done for nyjetsfan.com so I would be really appreciative for answers haha. I also believe that this will spawn a lot of interesting answers as well.

Due to most of the people, like myself, freaking out at this entire year of the Jets, I decided to make a poll on the some of the worst situations to transpire with this organization of all time.

If anyone answers Other of course, please feel free to post what that was in the comments section. And since there are sooooo many wonderful moments in the history of this organization, feel free to pick more than one moment, but please make it 3 moments at most. Thank you, and let the debate begin!

Hard not to pick 2012 just because its been blunder after blunder and the season isn't even over yet.

Injuries bad personnel decisions bad coaching decisions lack of talent. The PR being handled like a joke

you also have the afc championships where the team fell short against the broncos in denver when they were leading by 10.

and the steelers where herm kept going to the kicker doug brien and he missed 3 kicks.

I do agree that the championship games were hard to swallow for a lot of Jets fans, but they were definitely not frustrating for the fact that the team was considered a "very good" team, and weren't embarrassing from start to finish. However I did mention the Doug Brien missing the two potential GW FG's in the divisional playoff.

How is this season even close to the worst situation in Jets history? They lack talent and have a losing record, what is so crazy about that? The only dumb thing was extending Sanchez and being stuck with him next season.

I said moving into Giants stadium and passing on Marino. Also passing on Rodgers could be on the list. Moving into Giants stadium was the first move of Leon Hess saying we are a 2nd class team and we still have not shaken that image. Missing QB prospects year after year is right behind it. You could make this list for any team but ours has some interesting twists.

I thought you could only vote once so I voted for passing on Marino. That not only hurt us because we missed out on one of the best QBs of all time but also because he went to a division rival and played his entire career there. Marino, Al Toon and the Sack Exchange. That would have made the team Super Bowl contenders during the mid 80s.

I voted for this year because I wasn't around for some of the really old ones, but also because of the weight of mistakes. Some of the other things were big mistakes, but the franchise couldn't get out of it's own way this year.

How could anyone not vote for belichick leaving as the worst. In one move, the pats turned into a dynasty and we turned mostly into a laughing stock. Also, Gastineau vs. Browns was in 1986 playoffs. That was the year we started 10-1 the lost our last 5 games.

It's surely hard to compare a lot of those situations, given that some encompass whole seasons, others individual decisions and games and some just individual plays. But there's no doubting this team has had one painful history since Super Bowl III.

Certainly during the years I've been a Jets fan (since the early 2000s) this year has been the most depressing. Previous years have had their fair share of miserable moments that you'd wish never happened. This year though, it just seems that the wounds have been more self inflicted than at other times. We've done less with more talent before, but I don't think we've ever had a team, especially the offense, built with such deliberate complacency. Under Edwards and Mangini we had down years, but then they were largely caused by having a brittle QB; this year we've been horrific for the vast majority of the season with Sanchez under center. The injury to Revis (and that suffered by Holmes) didn't help but it's easier to make up for the loss of a corner than it is your signal caller on offense. I don't think we've had as many losses as horrible to watch as this year either (Tennessee, Seattle, New England, San Francisco and Miami), while there was the most unconvincing victory I think any team has recorded against Arizona.
The good news it will be over in a fortnight. But then comes an uncertain offseason...

I had to find this just to say that it's starting to become obvious that the whole year of 2012 now has to rank as one of the worst jets situations of all time thanks to the welcoming comments Rex Ryan just said about an hour or two ago.

The 2012 season is probably one of the worst situations, but there are a lot of situations on the list that could of gotten my vote...but as a situation the 2012 would be the one who took the cake, and the rest of those listed on the survey would be more incidents than situations...but the 2012 New York Jets aka The ButtFumble of 2012 would be the worst situation in the entire JETS history...
