The 2012 season is probably one of the worst situations, but there are a lot of situations on the list that could of gotten my vote...but as a situation the 2012 would be the one who took the cake, and the rest of those listed on the survey would be more incidents than situations...but the 2012 New York Jets aka The ButtFumble of 2012 would be the worst situation in the entire JETS history...

Speaking of ButtFumbles...that particular play made the TSN (The Sports Network in Canada) Top 10 Plays of 2012 so it's kinda famous even up here. In my 43 years of watching NFL football I have never seen ANYTHING approaching the purely amateurish pathetic-ness of the Butt Fumble. Maybe once in 1971 or 1972 when the Steelers still stunk I remember on Monday Night Football the Pittsburgh receiver or kick returner (can't remember exactly) went for a long gainer leading to a TD against Kansas City I think. The guy was so excited he was about to score that he spiked the ball on the 1 Yard line as he went in and it rolled out of the back of the endzone for a touchback. But that was more goofy than pathetic.

Man I voted for most of the recent ones. It's hard to decide which one is the worst. The 2008 team is annoying really because I truly believed that the Jets were the AFCs best team after beating New England in Foxborough and rolling on the Titans in Nashville. I believed that was the Jets Super Bowl team but a las something went wrong and boom. Didn't even make the playoffs.

I still remember being sprawled out on the floor with my head in my hands after Brien's 2nd missed field goal though, that was a game we had no business being in, and we were on the verge of pulling the shocking upset.

But in spite of all the success of 2010. How can we forget "Cant Wait" and the first half debacle in Pittsburgh that essentially ruined all of those hopes of getting to the Super Bowl?

So many failures, so many embarrassments. So hard to pick just one.

There are so many moments in Jets history that could easily make this list & be legitimate good ones, but I went with the Rich Kotex error. When in NFL history does anyone remember fans attending games & bringing tampons to throw at the head coach of any team?

As bad as the younger fans feel about 2012 and how it was "bumbling", imagine living through & going to games during the 1-15 season. Even with that being said, I don't know if that trumps the feeling of the 98 AFC Title loss after leading at the half or Bill Parcells being the chump that he is and leaving only to stick us with Bellichump for a day before Al Groh took over only to have Vinny go down with the Achilles tear untouched in the second Qtr of the first game the next season.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!
