1. With Sanchez still on the roster, this is pointless.
2. Why would the Steelers want to do this?
3. I will never understand why everyone wants to trade Revis. (General statement.)

No just no. ben isn't even that good.
And no way we trade revis. even w/o a stud QB with him and rex and cro and wilk etc our defense will be top tier. we need to build on offense w/o sacrificing our defense. if our o-line improves we can run and play D and win that way like in rex's 1st 2 years. the reason we aren't winning now is 99% the o-line

1. Our pass defense is still formidable without him. He's an ultra luxury, not a necessity. Even without Revis, our passdefense is still the strongest facet of the overall defense.
2. We cannot afford to keep him beyond this contract.
3. He has tremendous value on the trade market.

1) Our pass defense will not be as good without Landry and Bell.
2) why? Who else should we be paying?
3)There is a reason why he has value.

Question 1 and 2 kinda bleed into each other. We have Cro locked up to a big money deal. We're going to need money to keep Landry. Keller is a FA and we'll need to either pay or sign someone else. We have absolutely nothing at LBer, aside Harris. Don't forget the giant hole at QB (still need a veteran) and since this is NY, we can't start the season with Drew Stanton. Alex Smith and Vick are going to need to be paid more than the vet minimum. Then we go to the OL where Slausen and Moore are both FAs. I'm not even mentioning DeVito and Greene.
