ROBJETS Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:27 PM) Problem is the corners. We knew this before the start of the season. I was amazed at how well they did last week and the first half but eventually the weakness showed
ROBJETS Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:28 PM) The corner positions will be addressed next year. Technically we are still in a rebuilding phase.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:39 PM) we did go toe to toe against a SB contender and we really shouldn't be heartbroken but if you call yourself a JETS fan and aren't a little pissed over a W that we had in our control then you need to go and hand in your JETS gear ... Taking a break from the Jets for a minute - my son and I are arguing about who should be named MVP this year. My guess is there are only two real choices but I'll leave it to you to chime in. My son Max says Adrian Peterson because he took a team that is average and only won 3 games last year to the playoffs while running for over 2,000 yards. I favor Peyton Manning as he switched teams to a team that had a completely different offensive scheme, changed it, acted as the sort of offensive coordinator, calling his own plays and took them to the best record in all of football and the favorite to win it all. In both cases, these players were coming off horrendous injuries.

Let's hear from others.

AD. Take him off the team, and that's a 4 win max team.

Peyton is a great story, but he didn't join the 1996 Jets. He went to a team that made and won a playoff game with Tim "Too Terrible to Start Over McElroy" Tebow. He's playing with a great defense and has the added benefit of being in a unique geographical location that favors the hometeam more so than any other in all sports. He's had a great year, but I believe that AD has done more with less.

Has to be AP. The Vikings got better when Percy Harvin got hurt! Why? AP. They fed AP the ball and he has carried the team on his shoulders despite the fact that every defense knew what they are going to get. Eight and nine in the box and he still ended up 9 yards shy from the rushing record.

Peyton has a very good Demaryus Thomas, Eric Decker, and an established running game. I know he's the best and take either one of them away and the team will tank. But the Broncos showed they could win with Timmy boy...Enough said.

All Day AP.

Gotta be Peterson. Absolutely carried the Vikings, and fell just 9 yards shy of Dickerson's record. While coming off a torn up knee at that.

Manning has the benefit of the second best defence in the league too, whereas the Vikings' D is middle of the road (as really is the rest of their team). So it certainly should be Peterson. Both him and Manning are great stories and as they have defied the odds in coming back from horrible injuries. But when you come to measure value, Peterson was worth more to the Vikings and the season they have had.

Because they didn't pick first overall in the 2012 Draft? Any team would have taken him if they had the chance. Luck is a once-in-a-generation talent...and I think in time will prove to be worlds better than RG3.

Agreed, RG3 will struggle this week. I wouldnt say Luck in a once in a generation type of guy because we already have Brady and Manning, doubt Luck will ever reach their greatness although I could see him in the Marino/Montana/Unitas class. In regards to the OP I think Adrian Peterson should win the award. Manning has had a great season but Petersons performances have been earth shattering. Nevermind both coming off injury, it's about what they did this season and I think it's pretty clear Peterson should win.

Well, you might have taken my point a tad literally. What I really meant was when you stink the joint out put your thinking cap on and find the right pieces to plug into the problem a la Seattle, Minnesota, Indy and Denver.

You don't absolutely have to need the 1st pick overall you just have to have your shit together and try not to be too clever.
