Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII

Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:48 AM) It's whatever
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 10:50 AM) Manish leaving jets beat
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 10:51 AM) About time
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 11:22 AM) Was he "not even in the 2nd tier"? No. STFU
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:25 AM) Was he the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:26 AM) Or even close to the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:27 AM) Nice Manish leaving? Good shit

What a person has tattooed on their body is their own business, as long as it is covered up in the workplace. He was on his own time out on vacation and someone with nothing better to do than stalk him took a picture of him, his personal life has nothing to do with the business.

I can pretty much guarantee that any corporation would discipline a manager with this sort of a tatoo, nevermind that this is now public knowledge and not just his own private thing. This reflects on his judgment with the team and continues his history of unprofessional actions.

I'm inclined to agree with a1 in that this is an issue once it becomes public. Regardless, this isn't what the media should be doing. Go report something worthwhile. I personally don't care what Rex has tattooed or what Rex is into while he is in bed. I'm a fan of the Jets and I only care that the Jets win. Hell Belichick cheated on his wife but the media doesn't care about that. I would just love this team to get back to winning, it made the media idiocy bearable. With the losses and horrid performances, all this nonsense just makes me want to puke.

doesn't the tattoo show Rex's wife Tebowing also? if so, he's acknowledging both QBs (Tebow was supposed to be the QB, right?)...i don't even know, I'm more appalled at the writers so desperate for a story that they followed this man to the Bahamas while he's on vacation (personal opinions aside on if it should/should not have been taken)

Getting a tattoo of a woman in the Jets jersey of the team's starting QB is an unprofessional action? Maybe if the tattoo was on his face like Mike Tyson's you might have a point. Maybe even if the woman had been naked in the tattoo, but this tattoo not unprofessional. No this is just like "Footgate" when the media took nothing and blew it out of proportion to make it look like something. This tattoo "story" just gives people who already disliked him another reason to complain about him some more. I mean criticizing his coaching is one thing and I can certainly understand that. But this tattoo story bullshit is yellow journalism at it's best (or worst I should say) and was just created to feed his critics.

If The Daily News is anything like the tabloids up here then it barely qualifies as adequate ass-wipe. When I was in Guatemala in the early 80s and we ran out of toilet paper we used the local rags as a stand-in. Not a lot of absorbent qualities but it was better than using your left hand like they do in India. It was very gratifying to have El General (or whatever commie-baiting military figure was on the front page that day) kissin' your arsehole.

Question for the board: If Rex had a good season this year would the tat matter? Prolly not. You can even have a hotdog on the sidelines...just make sure you are winning so that ppl think it's 'cute' and not a crime.

I don't know what you do for a living, but you can't get a tattoo that references an employee. It calls into question your impartiality and leaves the door open for other employees to challenge your treatment of them. This is embarrassing the team. And if the Jets had just had their press conference like thirty-one other teams, no one would be following Rex around on vacation.

He likely got permission to do it and it could have been done quite a while ago with nothing being said all that while. A representation of his wife wearing No. 6. Ppl wear their 'hero's' sports gear all the time. So what. Now it's an employee rights issue?

Speaking of embarrassing the team- what about that pic with him at the Carolina Hurricanes game changing jerseys with his big fat gut hanging out? But the team was winning back then so it was OK.

Rule of thumb: You can get away with a lot of shit in life provided you are successful at what you do and you stroke ppl's egos so they stay in a good mood.

Except the team isn't winning right now and he just spent a season making poor decisions of who to run at QB. And saying he "probably" got permission is a joke. If he got permission for that tattoo I'll never bad mouth Ryan again.

You can go to the beach and see ass cheeks handing out. We no longer live in a Puritan society. I mean is this obscene?

Posted Image

That's the logo for a major company and that has been the logo for Coppertone for years. You see a little girl's ass cheek. Is that obscene? Or even worse can that be considered child pornography?

This tattoo is being blown way out of proportion (as usual) and just gives something people who already disliked Rex Ryan something else to bitch about when it comes to him. I mean really? This is a BIG deal now? Criticizing his coaching, criticizing his loud mouth, I can understand all that. All of that would be totally justified. But criticizing him for this tattoo is just his critics grasping at straws.

Have you seen Rex's contract? Does it specifically state that he is not allowed to get a tattoo of a woman in a #6 green and white jersey. Considering he did bench Sanchez twice in one season I don't think another employee questioning his impartiality would hold water. Maybe if the higher ups had gotten a capable backup QB instead of keeping Mark Brunell for 2 seasons and then replacing him with Tim Tebow this past season; Ryan could have benched Sanchez much sooner. I really doubt Rex Ryan is going to stick with Sanchez just out of loyalty and friendship if it also means him getting fired. If it came down to benching Sanchez or getting fired, Rex would choose benching Sanchez (like he did).

If it was just a tattoo with his wife's ass hanging out, that's fine. When it involved the jets and a jets QB who played like sh!t and Rex refusing to pull him for another QB, that's news and should be reported. That shows that he has a soft spot for #6. Believe me, i'm all for women's asses hanging out. That tattoo involved the jets organization.

If Rex and Woody had showed up for the Monday press conference set by the NFL, nobody would be talking about this tatoo. We would not know it existed. Once they heard he was in the Bahamas, the paps came down to see for themselves. He brought that on himself. Please stop talking about Rex being stalked. That press conference is part of his job. It's a mandate set by the league.

What makes you think I don't read your posts? I'm here almost daily and there's not much activity on these boards anymore... doesn't take much time to read all the new posts every day.

You're overly negative and enjoy condescending anyone who disagrees with you. AKA Camenzind2.0.

See this proves it right here. This has nothing to do with a tattoo, this is a about losing. If the Jets had a winning record right now, this wouldn't even be an issue. If Sanchez had played great this season and the team were 10-6 right now instead of 6-10 would you still be on here complaining about Rex Ryan's choices in tattoos? Be honest with yourself. This isn't about tattoos of women showing ass cheeks or women wearing #6 Jets jerseys. No this is about the New York Jets being 14-18 in the last two seasons. This is about anger over the team's performance the last 2 years, not about tattoo choices. This tattoo shit just gives people who were already upset an excuse to to bitch some more. That's all it is.

It's mostly anger about the poor choices Rex has made. That tattoo just magnified it. He's a ass-clown for even putting it on his right arm. He's made some dumb decisions about his team now a dumb decision about his life too. That's some kinky shit.
