That is simply not true... A lot of knowledgeable college football fans thought Sanchez was going to be good in the NFL. You can't be right every time with draft prospects.

nah thats not me, however i was agreeing with him that day. almost cried thats how bad of decision i knew it was to draft Sanchez, and how many years of my life would be wasted. oh if we only drafted Crabtree and signed a veteran qb. What a wonderful couple years we could have had.

Sanchez wasn't even talked about being a high pick until the last few days before the draft. he was hardly mentioned at any time leading up to it before then. why? cus everyone analyzed the tape and knew he was trash. what happend? Jets got a couple interviews and him TALKING mad him a #5 pick. Tape doesn't lie but people can. Jets got fooled by words instead of trusting what the tape said. Although they seem to be lacking at evelauting what they see as well. hopefully that changes with the new GM . . . hopefully.

No no no. It was Crabtree AND Nicks. Don't forget about Nicks. Plus it wasn't sign a veteran QB. No I remember it was we should have drafted Crabtree AND Nicks AND started Clemens. That is what somebody said we should have done. My only question for you is when Tebow leaves are you going to change to McElroy14 like I said a few months ago or will you wait until we sign Tebow's replacement and then change your name to his name?

Clemens would have been better than sanchez, but the jets wouldn't have gone without at least signing a vet to compete. and you couldnt draft both Crabtree and Nicks. Smart thing would have been to trade back and get nicks but I meant we shoulda taken crabtree in the spot we ended up in. would have been better. best case scenario is the trade back for nicks though.

Well Pete Carrol was right. He said Sanchez wasnt ready for the NFL before the Jets drafted him.

The problem was that they drafted a qb in the top 6 that had only one year of college play. It was a huge risk. The guy played on a team that was run more like an NFL offense with a solid running game because of Pete`s NFL experiencing. Sanchez one of the biggest risks int he NFL draft ever in the 1st round with only one year of college play. Other qb`s have failed drafted in the first round but most of them had more than a year of experience.
One year of college on a running team isn't really good to judge a qb since he is the most important player on the field.
I'm just saying if Mark would have played 3 or 4 years the draft pick wouldn't have been criticized so much, but the FO picked up an unproven guy and then thought he was going to be the franchise and he never became that and couldn't even handle being a game manager. He wasn't drafted to be a game manager but to be a gun slinger. Its just sad that the coaches had to turn him into a game manager. Obviously he never had the right tools to begin with because you never draft a ten qb to be a game manager. That is what the lower rounds are for.
Basically the scouting team and GM sucks at judging players.
