Worst Hit

Well if you are looking at it from the aspect of starting the Tom Brady era then I guess you could say it was the worst because of the Patriots becoming a dynasty. But truthfully its hard to tell whether Brady would have eventually started any way. Bledsoe was near the end of his career anyway and it wasn't totally out of the question that Brady would have eventually got the staring job anyway.
I mean hell we have qbs like Warner out of the Arena League, and Flutie, and Romo, etc, etc. I'm just saying there was a chance Brady may have started eventually anyway. The Pats were getting tired of Bledsoe`s mistakes(which he made a lot of) long before the injury which is why he faded really fast after he healed up. Bledsoe was clearly fading and near the end of his career. He didn't do much of anything after the Patriots let him go. He had one really good year with the Bills and then it was all down hill
As far as hits go I can think of three right off the bat that were were worse. Eric Smith hitting wr Boldin knocking him unconscious was pretty bad.
Even worse was Mo Lewis hitting rb Davis and ending his short but stellar career with that devastating knee injury.
And the worst hit in Jets history of all time and also one of the worst in NFL history would have to be Jets Mersereau hitting Jets Byrd. We all know that Byrd became paralyzed from the hit with a broken neck but eventually was able to walk again but it also destroyed Mersereau too. He had an ankle injury and required three surgeries but the hit also f*cked up his back too and he had to retire because his back was bad enough that he risked paralysis.
So to me other than the aspect of starting the Brady dynasty that hit was a joke compared to these other three.
