Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Baseball stadiums started doing this since right after 9/11
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) I used to go to Mets games as a kid with a subway hero
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Now I gotta drop $30 for a burger with fries
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) You know what I do? Not go to the fuckin games LOL
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) And it's not just me because the Mets suck, Yankees can't sell out anymore at all
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Shit, even Mets vs Yankees wasn't sold out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) That never happened in the 90s
santana Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) ghetto fries
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) whats amusing is at nationals stadium the staff is the worst
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) they don't give a shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) specially sunday morning
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) How so?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) Do they make you watch the Nationals?
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) every time they handed me my food or what not then i had to go to the register to pay i just walked away because the queue was too long
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) people running the registers just go super slow
santana Icon : (Today, 12:07 AM) no one there is in charge of making sure the customers are following the process
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Wait, you pay after you get your food?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) How does that even work?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Everywhere you pay when you place your order
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) well its decided getting some booze tomorrow afternoon and drinking every time i head lebron's head band referenced
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) like i said the concession stands are a mess
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) You might die
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) there were multiple people behind the counter
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so you could just go up to it and ask for what you wanted and 1 out of the 5 people would be on a single register
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so eventually you were just handed your food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) expecting for someone to approach the register you were standing infront to charge you
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) or you were led to believe maybe you had to go line up to the one that had a cashier with people already waiting on it
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) so a lot of the times when i was just handed the food i requested i would stand there look around see them go back to being distracted on their boost mobile phones or whatever reason and walked away
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) i got 6 pretzels like this for the group i was with and 3 hot dogs
santana Icon : (Today, 12:15 AM) my ticket one time had like 5$ towards concessions or what not their scanner wasnt working at the register so it wasnt reading it right or she didnt know what she was doing. she tried to scan it 3 times then litterally just turned away so i was standing there asking if it was all good no one answered so i just walked away with the food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:18 AM) probably doesn't help that they are hiring people from one of the worst parts of dc
santana Icon : (Today, 12:19 AM) in fact all the stadiums in dc are in very low income areas probably to exploit this work force
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:31 AM) No stadiums are in low income areas because that's how they get municipal bonds to finance construction. "Look, we're giving black people jobs! Pay for our stadium!!!"
santana Icon : (Today, 12:32 AM) right
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 01:48 PM) New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will face a lawsuit for allegedly shooting a man after an altercation at a Miami strip club.

TMZ.com broke news of this stunning development, as the lawsuit was filed in Florida federal court on Wednesday—five days prior to authorities searching Hernandez's Massachusetts home for an apparently unrelated homicide case.
santana Icon : (Today, 02:41 PM) A well-placed source told Paul Lukas, who writes Uni Watch for ESPN.com, that Revis paid safety Mark Barron $50,000 to get the No. 24 from the second-year safety.
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 04:06 PM) I've watched about 3 minutes of ESPN today and have already heard the word "headband" twice.
santana Icon : (Today, 04:13 PM) yea i'm going to get hammered
santana Icon : (Today, 05:29 PM) that left side of japan is no joke
santana Icon : (Today, 05:33 PM) damn that was so karate
santana Icon : (Today, 05:45 PM) http://i.minus.com/iqVziQ4MnbBdg.gif
Chaos Icon : (Today, 06:57 PM) James Gandolfini passed away
Chaos Icon : (Today, 06:58 PM) he was 51, suspected heart attack
santana Icon : (Today, 07:01 PM) I guess that means no soprano movie

New York Jets can't give away general manager job
By Gregg Rosenthal
Around The League editor
Published: Jan. 13, 2013 at 12:28 p.m. Updated: Jan. 13, 2013 at 02:39 p.m.

The New York Jets' general manager search is not going well. They have met with a ton of quality candidates, but the position remains open. So what's the problem?

"They can't give the position away," Fox Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reported Sunday. "They are now calling back candidates that turned them down, saying please reconsider."

Yikes. This sort of thing usually does not happen because GM jobs are so hard to come by in the NFL.

On the Jets' interview list are former Chicago Bears GM Jerry Angelo, in-house candidate Scott Cohen, Miami Dolphins assistant GM Brian Gaine, Pittsburgh Steelers executive Omar Khan, Seattle Seahawks vice president of football administration John Idzik, San Francisco 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble and New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross.

The Jets' situation is tricky because of coach Rex Ryan's presence and Woody Johnson's questionable ownership. Usually, a GM helps pick the coach. The situation is reversed this time.

The Jets also lack offensive talent, not to mention an offensive coordinator. All of those factors are scaring away quality GM candidates.

Honestly this is a pretty dumb assessment. There are 32 GM positions in the NFL and you're telling me no one wants the spot? HA. Straight crap. These media clowns need to shut up. They honestly have no idea what is going on. Anyone see the Cimini tweet from today? After going on about Popp and Ball interviewing with the Jets, he comes out and goes that they weren't true. It's all just crap for headlines. Just look at the article. Potential GM candidates are scared because there is no talent? If the team was talented, Tanny would still be here! The GM wants to pick the HC? There are teams out there in the past that have had this happen. It's all just aggravating BS. The media is annoyed that they have nothing to say so they are making stuff up as they go along.

Uh...is it entirely out of the realm of possibility that this firm that Woody hired is being thorough?

If you're going to accept what Jay Glazer is saying, then don't ignore this: @JayGlazer - Rex isn't what GM candidates are concerned with - their cap situation, personnel, QB and the circus turned a lot of candidates off

Nope. It's the Jets. No one wants to work with them.

I read this article earlier today and thought it was a joke at first. This guy has a beef with the Jets and loves stirring the pot. The only part of it that would cause me concern is Jay Glazer. He is pretty reputable. Time will tell.

Just found the article. I say that if Glazer says it, it's basically true. So here's to two years of sucking.Posted Image

If it is true 2 years will not be enough time. You have to figure the next GM will be a guy who can hopefully draft very well. Our cap hell will not let us do much more. By then we will have a new HC with a new scheme and new needs for players. Pretty much a revolving door of players and no good players will want to come here. The only silver lining is Brady might be retired by then.....

Jets are in a bad position cap-wise, but nothing that can't be fixed. It'll take 1 year max to get the cap completely sorted out but it's not as if there is no possible work around:

http://nyjetscap.com...les/cpmgmt.html
http://nyjetscap.com...es/cpmgmt2.html

All in all, if someone wants to be the Raiders GM, someone will want the Jets job. This is just media speculation and headlining.

I don't buy it, plenty of other teams have been in as bad if not worse situations than the Jets. However if it is true, if someone(potential candidates) aren't man enough to take on the task of cleaning up what is a mess, then they couldn't hack it with the NY media anyways

Why would none want the one year "freebie"?
