This just makes remarkable reading.

Although you're constantly bombared with messages to admire those who play through the pain barrier, Taylor's attitude towards injuries and his body is pretty frightening. The NFL and teams have a duty of care to players in this league, and it's a positive that progress - albeit slow - is being made to make sure this is recognised. But players have to acknowledge that they owe a duty of care to themselves too.

It's the terrible side of football that no one wants to talk about. The fans love the violence and the hard hits, but it's the players that have to suffer. The pain that the players go through after their careers is evident especially in light of the recent news of Junior Seau developing CTE due to his multiple head injuries. It's a great game but player safety has to come first, even if it is at the expense of the fans entertainment. All players need to be protected and watched, not just the ones playing at the popular positions.

Holy crap, thats crazy. Although the contracts certain players get can seem excessive, I feel as though after reading that that they have have earned those millions(atleast most players) Its borderline scarey how someone can have that sort of mindset with pain and risking long term serious injury

Taylor left out the part that while injured he would go out in ashburn as a redskin to go pickup girls at the local shitty bars.
