Ezekiel Ansah Our guy?

The more I see of this kid the more I like. He seems to have great footspeed and instincts, but the knock on him is 1 year of production and very little football experience (and could he transition to OLB?). I know he's been talked about on the board before, but he could rocket up draft boards after the combine and he impresses me more than Mingo. Ansah, Jarvis Jones, Mingo, Jordan, Moore (unlikely but possible), any combination of these players will likely be available to us at 9. It'll be an interesting first round.

yea potenial is a killer word for the jets sanchez, hill ,golston,. get players with consistency in college.
My only qualm with consistency is that it generally means they're not gonna get much better. Take Courtney Upshaw or Michael Floyd for example. Consistency AND potential is that rare middle-ground that's hard to find.

Yea, I'm hoping we trade out of 9.
I agree. Think we should look to trade down to around 13-15. Still think we can get one of those guys and probably a second round pick. Would also like us to either lock up Revis or trade him to a team like Detroit who is interested in Millner from Alabama. We might get their 1 and 2 for Revis. After all, if they plan on taking a CB with 1 it would only mean giving up their 2 as Revis is certainly better than any draft pick. With those two moves we would have two first round picks and 3 second round picks. Then we could trade our 4th round pick and Sanchez (we would have to eat at least 75% of his salary) to Seattle for Flynn. Pete Carrol may like to have him as a backup if he was cheap enough.
End result we lose Revis and Sanchez and our 4th round pick but we would get Flynn and have 2 first round picks and three second round picks. We could take Millner at CB and one of the OLB in the first and use our three second round picks on the O line, safety, another OLB or a RB. And since draft choices are slotted, it wouldn't hurt our cap as much as signing regulars.

I wouldn't take Ansah over all of those guys, but he is a interesting prospect. I am interested in Dion Jordan, hes probably going to measure at 6'5 or 6'6 and has long arms and is super athletic, dropped back in coverage a lot in college which is probably why he doesn't have more sacks.

I personally like Jarvis Jones the most, but I'm conflicted due to his condition. If he was available at 9 and the Jets chose him, I wouldn't be mad, but I would be scared.
