Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:29 PM) http://news.yahoo.com/top-10-heisman-trophy-candidates-2012-heading-season-150300441--ncaaf.html
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:31 PM) http://newyork.sbnation.com/2012/8/17/3249284/heisman-trophy-watchlist-2012-las-vegas-betting-odds-line-matt-barkley-montee-ball-denard-robinson
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:48 AM) It's whatever

My mock draft. Im basing my picks on where walterfootball.com thinks players will be drafted for the most part.

Round 1- Jarvis Jones, DE/OLB, Georgia
Attached Image

Round 2- Barrett Jones, G/OT, Alabama ( I would also like Eddie Lacy here but I think we can also get Mike Gillislee or Joseph Randle in either round 3 or 4 who I both like as well so I go for a needed OL pick here instead )
Attached Image

Round 3- Bacarri Rambo, S, Georgia
Attached Image

Round 4- Mike Gillislee, RB, Florida or Joseph Randle, RB, Oklahoma State ( Hoping one of them will slip to our pick in this round. )
Attached Image Attached Image

Round 5- Sean Porter, DE/OLB, Texas A&M ( read about him http://walterfootbal...2013sporter.php )
Attached Image

Round 6- Michael Williams, TE, Alabama
Attached Image

Round 7- Marcus Davis, WR, Virgina Tech
Attached Image

This is a tough mock to do. A lot of good players in the middle rounds. I would have liked to pick up another OL, would have liked to picked on Latimore as well in the middle rounds. I think trading out of our 1st pick and picking up a few extra would be the best option for us.

I thought they traded away their 4th rounder for Tebow?

Shit, that's right. I forgot about that. Even more reason to trade down in the first round and grab more picks.

Pretty sure that was last years 4th. The jets have a pick in each round this year.

That was last years draft choice. We have all our picks this season.

That's a relief. Maybe they'll actually use them all this year... or better yet, acquire more.

We had a good amount of picks for last years draft but we still ended up releasing 2 or 3 of our draft picks. So even if we have a full draft class this year, our drafting needs to get better. Doesnt matter if we draft 10 players this year, if we only keep 6 of them for example, that 4 wasted picks. Might as well trade up in the draft and use those picks instead of just wasting them. All in all, our drafting needs to get better in the later rounds.

those were all 6-7 round picks, hard to find players in those rounds. most don't make it in the NFL.

The Jets will be adding another high round pick, they are going to trade Revis or Cromartie.

Why do you catch heat? The SEC is far and away the best conference in college football and regularly produces the best players. People who give you slack are just haters. 7 straight National Titles. Can people really argue? Only one SEC team has ever lost the BCS title game...and that was when they played against another SEC team.

I see a lot of mocks have us going D in the first round but my money says we go offense. I am not really a college guy but with all our issues on offense I just can't buy into drafting D.

At this point, it sounds like the value isnt there to take a skill position player at #9. Of course that could change with workouts and the combine (i.e. Patterson from Tennessee).

Personally, if Jarvis Jones is there, I'd be devastated if they didn't take him. Best player on a stacked Georgia defense. Watch him in the Florida game from this season.

The problem with Jones is his spinal condition, how long can he play in the NFL?

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that hasn't been an issue since his days at USC. The doctors there wouldn't clear him to play, he transferred to Georgia and it hasn't been an issue since. That's not to say he didn't miss time... I think he had an ankle and some other injuries, but I believe the neck/back never was an issue there. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

IMO, if he falls out of the top 5 picks, it's a mistake... he's this draft's Von Miller.
