Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS

He's clearly not a good fit for Chip Kelly's offense and the kid could be good. Prototypical size with a big arm, he might be worth a shot.

Quote

The Associated Press reports that the Eagles would want a first- or second-round pick to "even consider" trading Nick Foles.
The AP's story cites an "NFL source," which is clearly in the Eagles organization and using the media in an attempt to create leverage. Foles' trade value is not a first- or second-round pick, and the Eagles know that. But they intend to feign the impression that it is, and that there's "no way" they'd trade Foles without being offered a top-two-round draft pick. We suspect Foles will be traded for a third- or fourth-rounder closer to April's draft. In the meantime, the Eagles will pretend Foles is part of Chip Kelly's long-term plan.

Considering how injury prone Vick is I wouldn't be looking to trade away my back up QB if I were the Eagles. If Kelly is truly an offensive wizard he'd figure out a way to utilize Foles's strengths to his advantage rather than just get rid of him because Foles doesn't fit his system.

I'd love to see Foles take over for Sanchez but I just can't see Philly trading him.

I really liked him coming out. More than most. I think in the right fit, he'll be solid.

NFL.com says the Eagles want a 1st or 2nd round pick for him. I would give up a 3rd

I'd rather throw a 3rd or 4th (preferably 4th) for Flynn, but I wouldn't have any qualms about doing that for Foles either

This guy is a 1 year player who was a 3rd round pick in 2012. He started a handful of games, threw 6 tds and 5 ints, then broke his hand and was placed on IR. Now he's playing for a coach who clearly doesn't see him in his plans and just signed Dennis Dixon (who played for Kelly before). At this point, Foles is more likely to be #3 on the depth chart than he is to be #1. I'd give up a 5th and a 7th for him only because the Cheifs would probably offer a 5th for him.

No thanks. Not at the asking price. He's of course being rumored to be wanted in KC to rejoin Reed, but I honestly don't see why they'd do that if they're getting Geno Smith in the draft.

A first & a second for Foles is laughable considering Alex Smith can be had for that. If we're doing any trades for a vet QB & we're looking to win, I would ship Mevis out to San Fran in exchange for Smith & a pick which I believe they'd be willing to give up.

Alex Smith is a FA, the 9ers don't control him.

I will never understand this love affair with Alex Smith. He would be terrible on the Jets. He only became a decent QB for the 49ers after they got Harbaugh and surrounded him with talent. Smith is not the answer for the Jets.

Smith and a pick for Revis is pathetic.

He signed a 3 yr deal last March. The team has outs, but they still own his rights. If they cut him before the new league year, they owe him $1 million. Once March 12th hits, he's due 7.75 million guaranteed.

Smith & a pick for a guy that's worth about as much as a no name rookie is pathetic? Since when? Smith is a huge upgrade over Sanchez & since Harbaugh worked with him, he's become a much better QB. As for "surrounded by talent"? Really? Crabtree & Davis.......who else? A washed up over the hill Moss? Manning Ham & his 1 td all season? Ginn? Laughable. Ginny couldn't even hang in Miami.

Should I change it to read other than trade value is only about as valuable as a no name rookie or about the same value as Tim Teblow? Until he actually plays and PROVES he's worth anything after the acl surgery, he's worthless.

If they traded Revis for a 7th rounder in 2025 you would be ecstatic...

Kaepernick? Gore? That offensive line? Don't make it seem like the 49ers have no talent on offense. That team is stacked on both sides of the ball.

You have got to be smoking something real good if you think plugging in Smith for Sanchez will solve all of the Jets problems. I get it that you loathe Revis for some reason but seriously? Smith and the 31st pick are not worth it for Revis. I would rather have picks instead of Smith. I don't want Smith in a Jets uniform. He was thought to be a bust until Harbaugh came around. If Smith was as good as people think he is, why exactly was he replaced by Kaepernick and why did Harbaugh flirt with a Manning returning from injury? Dude was a mess for 7 years and he is not going to help the Jets.

WHAT? This guy is sought after DESPITE the injury. He is a HOF material based on what he does. If the Jets are seriously looking to trade him, a team will take him on without a doubt. You're really delusional when it comes to Revis.

You really are delusional. You realize ACL injuries no longer jeopardize careers like they used to right? Look at Peterson and Jamal Charles this year, Ricky Rubio is playing great as we speak, and there are multiple case studies like Derrick Rose, Ladarius Webb, and Rajon Rondo that we can learn from soon. No name rookie? LMFAO. You're about as ignorant as they come buddy. Revis doesn't have to prove shit to have trade value, it already exists. Get over yourself and your superior opinions, you'll be doing the entire f***ing world a favor.

Whats with the vendetta against Revis? An ACL surgery is pretty routine now.

If they could sign Alex Smith as UFA to a relatively cap friendly contract, I would be pretty happy. He will probably want a good chunk of change though ($6-8 mil/yr maybe?), so that's probably not realistic.

He's a clear upgrade from Sanchez at this point and could fill the starting role until the organization finds a long term replacement. I understand people think it's all Jim Harbaugh, but he's clearly a smarter and better QB after having worked with that coaching staff for two straight seasons. He finally had the same coaches and system for two straight years, and he's become smart with the football... and that's a lot more than anyone can say of Sanchez.

THAT BEING SAID, Revis for Smith and a pick is miserable.
"My first thought was I looked and I saw who was second and [thought], 'Hey, I finally beat Belichick at something. I got him. I knew it would take time, but I finally got him.'"
