The Jets don’t have the cap space to splurge in free agency. But a bloodletting at the linebacker position forces them to find replacements.

The guy replacing Calvin Pace could be Cowboys linebacker Victor Butler.

According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Jets are targeting Butler during the legal non-tampering tampering window.

A fourth-round pick in 2009, the 245-pound Butler may not be big enough to become a defensive end in the Cowboys’ new 4-3 scheme.

This would be a nice under the radar type move. Stuck behind 2 good players in Dallas, could be a upgrade over the shit we had last season at OLB.
