Going to Pro Days is not necessarily an indication the Jets will pick Smith -- they had scouts at Rutgers' Pro Day on Wednesday and Harvard's Pro Day Thursday, for example -- although it does show a continued pattern of interest in the versatile QB.

According to a person with knowledge of the situation , the Jets scouted Smith in Morgantown this season. And even though the GM has changed places, the front office staff behind him has not. Idzik has been working with Bradway, assistant GM Scott Cohen and the rest of the group throughout the process.

Last season Smith was 369-of-518 passing for 4,205 yards, 42 touchdowns and six interceptions.

The Jets met with each of the top 10 QB draft prospects at the combine late last month.

I wouldn't hate it if they drafted him but I don't see it happening. Are they thinking he may fall to 9 and then get a DE or OLB with the 13 if Tampa trades for Revis? Problem is Smith has to get past Buffalo at 8.
