ganggreen2003 Icon : (30 August 2015 - 07:50 PM) Any word on Leonard Williams injury?
azjetfan Icon : (30 August 2015 - 11:49 PM) He will be ready week 1. Just a sprain
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 10:33 AM) so we whooped the giants ass pretty badly
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 10:38 AM) bills cut fred jackson
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:29 PM) We got lucky with Williams
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:30 PM) Hes looked like a beast as well, so we need him healthy. Hes gonna be a future all pro
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:31 PM) Our offense can be competent this season
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:33 PM) Zac Stacy was a good add
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:46 PM) I'm surprised Freeman was cut, I thought he was a solid backup center. Guess they like Wesley Johnson better
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:58 PM) our offense is passable. we should put up 14-17 a game average
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:58 PM) should be enough for our Defense. our d-line is nasty with wilk, rich, snacks, and now williams
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:59 PM) out MLBs get picked on in coverage though. davis had a rough game
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:59 PM) our Cbs are way too good. cro revis and skrine. plus mcdougle looked solid. when milliner comes back, him being a dime back could be huge too
Jetsman05 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 02:24 PM) 17 points a game is "passable"? If we average 17 a game this season, we won't win more than 5 ball games.
Jetsman05 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 02:24 PM) Needs to be 20+
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 05:33 PM) Our offense should be better than its been in years
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 05:34 PM) which wouldn't take much
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:03 PM) another ex jet going to the pats http://theredzone.or...ms/Default.aspx
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:04 PM) our defense should allow an average of less then 14 a game IMO. If we can average 17 a agme I think we can win 9-10
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:25 PM) Jace Amaro was put on IR, torn labrum.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:26 PM) That sucks, I was looking forward to him at TE
ROBJETS Icon : (01 September 2015 - 07:24 PM) Labrum tear....definitely out for the year. Its not a bad surgery. I used the sling for about a week before I ditched it completely. Supposed to use it for a full 6 weeks. You can get away without it but just have to be careful not raising or moving your arm much and no lifting of pretty much anything. As far as fully healing ....6 mon ths minimum but for lifting heavy and full contact sports I wouldnt trust 6 months
ROBJETS Icon : (01 September 2015 - 07:31 PM) Still not that bad of a surgery on a pain scale. after a few days it mostly just aches like hell. ice and keeping your arm still is important. sleeping is major hard for the first 3 weeks or so. You wake up in pain a god bit. Id be dreaming and jerk my right arm up or move it wrong or lay on it wrong and wake up in major pain. still I liked t better without the sling than being completely immobile with one arm and healed just fine. He will come back from it fine
ganggreen2003 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 08:37 PM) sucks we lost Amaro for the season
santana Icon : (02 September 2015 - 09:34 AM) http://sport.woot.co...ef=gh_sp_6_wp_3
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 09:47 AM) No suspension for Brady, what a joke
Jetsman05 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 12:26 PM) I don't think it is a joke but f*** him.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:15 PM) f*** new england
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:15 PM) he still was behind the balls being deflated
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:16 PM) he authorized those 2 employees to do that to the footballs
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:16 PM) he is a diva so f*** that classless organization
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:21 PM) it's especially sickening living in the middle of CHEATriot country and listening to these assclowns up here make excuses for their POS QB
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:21 PM) and that classless organization
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 05:13 PM) who's watching this game tonight?
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:09 PM) INT and then he fumbles it away
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:09 PM) f***ing Walls
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:15 PM) Stacy is runnin the rock
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:15 PM) all running plays so far
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:18 PM) TOUCHDOWN NEW YORK JETS!!!!
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:45 PM) TOUCHDOWN NEW YORK JETS!!!!
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:45 PM) 14-3
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 September 2015 - 09:50 PM) We are really dumb if we cut Kerley
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:23 AM) we won't cut him this year, next year we might
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:42 AM) steve waetherford got cut by the giants, they traded the steelers for brad wing

Alright so here's how I'm doing this. I'm going to mock the first 8 overall, so you know who's there once its our turn. I will then mock Jet selections only.

1. Joeckel
2. Jordan
3. Floyd
4. Fisher
5. Ansah
6. Miliner
7. Warmack
8. Patterson
9...

Phone rings inside the Jets war room... It's Rick Speilman, the Vikings GM. He wants to move up and after some back and forth, the Jets agree to give up the 9th pick, the 105th (4th rounder) and the 159th (6th rounder) for the 23rd and 25th overall. The math is close enough (1350 + 84 + 23.8 = 1457.8; 760 + 720 = 1480). Why would the Vikes make this trade? It actually makes perfect sense for them. They have 2 major holes and one area that can use a massive upgrade. Harvin departing left a big void at WR and they can grab Austin at #9 and replace Harvin's production with none of the mind fuckery OR they can take the best DT in the draft, Lotuleili and plug him next to the aging Kevin Williams (33) and bring back their monster D Line. Finally, Geno Smith makes a ton of sense for Minny. He's an immediate upgrade over Ponder and playing in the dome will mask his most glaring weakness. I actually see this happening.

An hour passes by and Tampa is on the clock...

Phone rings inside the Jets war room... it's Idzik's old pal Rick McKay, "Alright you bastard! You smug sunovabitch! You got me! There aint a CB worth 2 shits in this draft and we're trotting out a 54 year old Rhonde Barber against Julio Jones, Colston and Steve Smith. I'll give you the 13th and next years 1st pick for Revis... what do you mean 'No'?! No way... no no no... alright and a 3rd next year. Done."

Jets on the clock...

Phone rings inside the Jets war room... Idzik looks at Rex puzzled... "It's a Bay Area number?". On the other end of the phone is Trent Baalke... he explains to Idzik that the 9ers would like to move ahead of all the 3-4 teams that are about to pick because they want to make sure that they get their man, Bjoern Werner. Justin Smith is turning 34 and is on the last year of his deal. When he got hurt, the 9er pass rush disappeared because Aldon Smith didn't have anyone eating 2 blocks in front of him. Werner compares to Chris Long and with the 9ers having 14 picks and not a lot of turnover at the starting positions, securing the guy they want is most important. The 9ers offer the 31st and 34th pick, math checks out (13th pick is 1150, 31st is 600 and 34th is 560). Jets trade out of 13.

Two hours pass by and Harlem is piss drunk at the draft.

23rd pick, Jets select... Jarvis Jones OLB (assuming he gets past the Steelers at 17).
25th pick, Jets select... Desmond Trufant CB (with Revis gone, we'll need another starter-caliber CB).
31st pick, Jets select... Jonathan Cyprien FS (the Jets have done nothing in FA to address the safety position, so it's safe to assume we'll draft one)
35th pick, Jets select... Keenan Allen WR (1st round talent has now his name associated with Dr. James Andrews, so I'm assuming he'll tumble a little)
39th pick, Jets select... Justin Pugh G/RT
72nd pick, Jets select... Damontre Moore OLB (you think this is a steep drop for the once Top 15 projected prospect? Walter Football has him going at #86)
137th pick, Jets select... Tyran Matheiu CB

So there you have it. I gave us 5 total picks in the Top 40. I believe that this year and next will be all about replentishing the overall talent across the board on this team. As previously mentioned, we currently have ONE starter from the 2008 & 2009 drafts (Marky Mark). That's a serious deficiency and the Jets face the unenviable task of being caught rebuilding while at the same time aging as guys like Mangold and Brick start to turn 30.

I gave us one starter at every position of need. I double dipped at OLB because I deem that to be our biggest weakness and Moore in the 3rd round is a tremendous value. I wanted to double dip at OL but was enticed by better prospects every time. Also, I've been reading a lot of analysis from 2012, and the consensus is that the Jets did marginally better both running and throwing the ball when Ducasse was in the game that when Slausen was in. Maybe Ducasse can still turn it around.

I know this is highly unrealistic but I do believe that the trades are plausable so f*** you.

Honestly, considering the talent Revis has when on the field in addition to the implementation of the rookie wage scale, the Jets should really get more than that in any potential trade.

I'm assuming we end up trading Revis at the draft.

As far as moving out of the Top 10... I'd really like to see that. At #9, we're probably looking at either Austin, Mingo, Luteili or Geno Smith. I think all 4 of those are major reaches at that point.

No I just love the thought that went into it and all the trades.

I'm nominating this for thread of the year.

BTW i'm not being negative at your post. I just hate the idea of trading revis w/o getting anything proven in return. rookie draft picks are too questionable and the chances of us landing anyone near the caliber of revis is slim to none

also the 1 thing people are forgetting is teh QB factor. we can cut sanchez after this year and use the whiopping money he is making to pay revis instead. the thought of not paying rvis 15 mil but paying sanchez 15 mil instead makes me wanna puke
