Chaos Icon : (Today, 09:14 AM) @Bischoff_Scott: Per a source, the #Lions are having discussions about moving #Suh before the draft to move up as high as possible in the first round.
Chaos Icon : (Today, 09:14 AM) now that would be a fairly big move
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 09:46 AM) If they trade Suh to get Watkins, I would laugh. That doesn't really make their team better, they already have a high yardage passing attack
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 09:47 AM) They have the best WR in football and they signed Tate who will be a excellent #2 to Johnson
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 09:53 AM) too many smokes screens. f*** the extra 2 weeks of this shit, the draft should be tonight!

lol that dolphin logo. Going to be a long season next year. Enjoy the draft...will more than likely be the highlight of the season.

If we're around .500 come December, we can make the playoffs. That last month is looking pretty good. I don't buy into the Miami hype and the fact that their sauna of a stadium won't be an issue this year (because we don't have to play them there until the winter) works to our advantage. If it's December and we got 5 Ws, were good. We're not any worse than the Bucs, Bills or the Titans. We can win 3 out of those 4 games (I'm guessing we split with the Bills). Then we got to steal 2 against the Pats/Falcons/Steelers/Saints/Bengals/Ravens/Pats. If we keep Revis and add an impact player in the 1st and 2nd, we can fly under the radar and be back in the playoffs.

been watching this team for a few decades now. they have always trended to do well when not expected to. however trended to do horrible when expected to do great.

i'm not expecting 13-3 but definitely not 4-12 or 6-10. we shall see because qb and off. line play will dictate scoring. thus giving rex's def. an advantage, but without the scoring then it's back to butt fumbles, etc.

What would make me happy this year is if we showed that we have become smarter as a team. Bythat I mean we are drafting well. Not signing guys to silly deals. Not trying to ever go all in for one year at the sake of future years. Give me solid growth and a good ladder to climb.

You'd be hard pressed to find another team with as difficult a stretch as that. It doesn't help that, as it stands, our roster is extremely thin. That run, coming reasonably early in the season, will likely define our campaign. And if we do likely go on a losing run, then the reaction to that will tell a lot about where this franchise is headed. If the locker room splits again then Rex will be headed out the door. But if we can bounce back and finish strong then the signs for the future will be promising.

If next season is to be another down year, I can live with it, especially given we have a new GM in charge. It's how we play and how the team deals with any adversity that counts. I don't want to see the Jets experience another car crash year like 2012.

Tough schedule... But I don't like to predict things, especially before the draft and the team is filled. Though things don't look promising with Sanchez as our starting QB...

We just won 6 games without Revis, without any WRs, TEs or OLBs. Against tougher opponents. I doubt we're going to do worse with a healthier team, a full year under the belt for Coples and Davis and another one for Wilk. There's really no one outside or Cromartie that had a banner year in 2012. If we end up keeping Revis, we're once again going to have a Top 10 defense and it's hard to imagine the offense being any worse. Outside of the Pats and Atlanta, I don't see any juggernaut teams on our schedule. The Steelers and the Ravens lost a ton of people and the Steelers haven't been the Steelers in about 2 seasons. I think that depending on the draft, if we get an impact pass rusher that can actually get to the QB and either a TE or a RB that can catch the ball (because we haven't had either last year), we are a 9 win team based on our schedule.

We'll be picking in the top 5 in 2014. Trade Revis now. Glad I got rid of my NFL package. Can't stand watching these beat downs and costing me money at the same damn time.

I see us being between 6-8 wins this year. Unless one of these QBs step up we will struggle.

Scott, BT & Greene - addition by subtraction.
Edwards, Pouha & Moore - current FAs who can be brought back if the price is right.
Slauson - I was a fan but advanced metrics show that the offense functioned better at both running and passing when Ducasse was in the game.
Bell & Landry - an aging FS and a very limited SS is not the end all be all. We can replace their production with scheme alone if we have a healthy Revis out there.
Keller - probably our biggest loss, but he was a non factor last season. The coaches have to find Sanchez a safety valve.

Scott I am ok with but Davis is unproven. So another question mark. We have the clone to Greene on the team already.

Edwards will not be resigned. Poor route runner. Will have hard time in timing patters in WCO. As of now is all I can go on and Pouha and Moore are not here

Not only is that a lofty "If" but at this point we have no one to replace either.

I forgot about the only guy on the offense who can play. Keller will be a huge loss.
