Wow. You are seriously in love with Revis or you're just completely DENSE.
Kris Jenkins.......DEMANDED double teams, destroyed linemen & would've accepted vet minimum.
Cotchery may have only 2 TD's with Pitt but what did he produce with us? How many 40+ yard receptions? Cotch was better than butter fingers Hill was he not?
BRAYLON EDWARDS.......funny how you left his name off your list.
Damien Woody ....... retired ONLY because the Jets didn't make him an offer. You're a FOOL if you think Woody wasn't a valuable piece on the line.
Drew Coleman........he may not have been the best CB, but he was valuable. 4 sacks/5 forced fumbles in 2010 alone and WANTED to stay.
Shaun Ellis.......Even though he didn't produce with the Gaytriots in 2011, there's no telling that he wouldn't produce with us. He was a leader on Defense and the longest tenured Jet at the time.
NOBODY in their right mind would question letting go of Gholston.
Funny how I come up with 6 right there but you obviously think Revis is worth more than all of them put together. If Mevis didn't demand 16.25 million a year for the first two of the Revis camp-titled "band aid" contract, I'm sure we could've brought back at least 2-3 of those 6 and Revis still would've banked some serious cash.
Jenkins.....was not going to accept anything because he couldn't stay on the field and he said himself after his second ACL injury that he would retire before going through another rehab. Jenkins TORE HIS ACL!!! TWICE. Plus he was over 30 years old when those injuries happened. But you're fine with Jenkins coming back from TWO ACL injuries and being a drag on the salary cap, but not for Revis.
What a f***ing hypocrite you are.
The previous injury to that knee also involved the ACL. It was repaired last October with a graft, using a tendon from his hamstring. During the latter stages of his rehab, Jenkins admitted he had fleeting thoughts of retirement. He decided to play after discussing it with his family, acknowledging that he probably wouldn't be able to handle another rehab.
It's also possible the Jets may not want him back at his current salary. He's due a $1 million roster bonus, plus a $3.75 million salary in 2011, and it's unlikely they will want to pay that much to a player who will have missed 25 of his past 32 games.
Woody......The Jets didn't make Damien Woody an offer? (sigh)
Jets tackle Damien Woody has decided to retire

Damien Woody had an offer to return to the Jets after getting cut earlier this offseason. Instead, the 12-year veteran has decided to retire.
I may be a fool, but I'm a fool with the facts on my side.
Cotchery.....meh, his time in Pittsburgh speaks for itself.
Braylon Edwards....I left him out because I wanted to see if you'd be ridiculous enough to mention his name in this discussion, and you didn't disappoint me. Yes the Jets decided not to pay Edwards the big contract he wanted, and that was one of the best decisions the FO ever made during the Johnson/Tannenbaum era. The Jets decided not to over pay for Edwards and so they let him walk. Edwards went most of the off-season unsigned until the 49ers signed him to a contract worth 3.5 million if he met certain incentives....and as we all know he didn't meet those incentives. They cut him after one season, as did the Seahwaks the very next year. Yeah we really missed out on Braylon Edwards.
I could hear you now after the 2011 season if the Jets had re-signed Edwards "we gave that fvcking lazy bum a big contract and now he plays like sh!t! What a fvcking little street thug. He ROBBED US!!!"
Drew Coleman....he was mediocre at best. The Jets haven't missed him and have Wilson, moving on.
Shaun Ellis....funny how Revis was supposed to be a team player and take a paycut, but not Ellis. Ellis could have signed the veteran's minimum to stay with the Jets if he wanted to. But New England offered him more money, he took it and I don't blame him. He didn't do much in New England so we didn't miss out on anything. The Jets had just drafted Wilkerson in the first round, so Ellis' time was up anyway.
None of these players are missed and their salaries aren't missed either.
