thats pretty good. sure sanchez didn't pan out, and ducasse and ghoslton were terrible but you cna't hit on every pick
Most of these picks prove my point but you dont see it because you have blinders on. Again the last two years the team was 8-8,6-10 and the team wouldnt have been a playoff team even with Revis playing. To think so is delusional.
Next Revis was great out and Kerely is ok but he is nothing more than a 3rd or 4th receiver on most teams. He certainly is not a #2 or #1. So nothing special. As far as the rest.....other than Slauson none of them has really panned out at all.
Coples???? Get real I could care less what he led in on a crappy team. The man was a first round pick and can only play in half the snaps???? For a first round pick that is considered a bust. A bust doesnt mean the player cant have an NFL career but his play certainly isnt the value of a first round draft pick.He may do better in the future but he has yet to prove it. So he outperformed the other players that were on the field most of the game. That makes it look even worse because it says the team knew he was only good for a small amount of time and if he was on the field for long periods he would suck ass.
Greene???? He sucks and would be a backup or 3rd rb at most on most any team in the NFL. He averages like 2-3 yards a carry. If you think that is good you need to look at the average a running back should get per carry.
Wilson??? He was supposed to be the next Revis and yet has gotten less and less playing time and ient even solid playing in the nickel. The Jets had to upgrade the safeties to help him because Cro and Revis certainly didn't need the help. I consider him a bust just like Lowery was. Wilson is nothing more than another 3rd or 4th backup corner. Another bust because he didn't meet expectations
Cant say much about Powell because he is what he was drafted to be
Mcknight????? Another that hasn't met expectations and clearly a bust. Never proven to be even a half decent running back except in garbage games or preseason. The fact that the team had to find other things for him to do proves this.
Wilkerson is ok but he sure is not dominant for a first round pick. The book is still out on him at this point I consider him just above average as a starter.
My point is You are acting like the team has been a playoff team every year and what I'm saying is the reality is that the scouts have scouted more busts and players that haven't lived up to expectations than players that have succeeded. Sure they hit it with a few players but more haven't lived up or are busts. That isn't an opinion that is fact.
You are jumping on the new gm like you could be a gm or scout the right players. Obviously you cant. I'm just saying get off the gms nuts and give him a chance.
You stating he sucks before the team has even played a season with him as gm doesn't mean he does suck. Its an idiotic and stupid assessment that is totally irrational.
If the team sucks in three or four years then myself and most fans would agree with you but saying the man sucks before one game has even been played is simply retarded.I'm just saying give it a rest with the gm until he proves himself good or otherwise. The way you are continuously rambling on I just want him to succeed for the sole fact that everyone can rub it in your face in a few years and tell you that you are dumb for jumping to conclusions. No one knows what he is or isn't at this point. Lets just wait and see.
As an example I saw Sanchez`s flaws in his rookie year but I didn't start bitching about him sucking until mid second year when it was clear to me he wasn't progressing. If I would have jumped to conclusions like you did I would have stated it early in his rookie year or even before he played a single snap. Basically I'm just saying the reason everyone is jumping on you is because you are making a total ass out of yourself jumping to conclusions so soon.
Hell I'm not big on the Geno Smith pick because of all his weaknesses but I'm not going to make a crusade against the pick. The man deserves a fair shot to prove himself. Also you aren't the only one on the board who have watched the Jets for a long period. I'm 43 and have 29 years as a Jets fan and there are others who have been a fan much longer so this green and white goggles comment is stupid too. Many of us are aware of the constant bad decisions and failures or curse or whatever and most of us expect something to go wrong every year at some point. You are definitely not alone in that aspect.
Hell I pride myself on seeing things clearly and not being biased or blinded just because the team in question is my favorite team and I know I saw Sanchez as a failure before anyone else on the board because I have been bitching about him for 3 years now but like I said I'm not dumb enough to complain about changes before even one game has been played.I look at the players on this team as if I was just an analyst and they weren't my favorite team. I look at them for their strengths and weaknesses and production on the field and not with blinders because they are my favorite team. Most people on the board know I have no problem about complaining about players on the team.
No matter how smart you may be complaining about changes before the season and assuming the gm sucks before the team has done anything on the field is a very unintelligent assessment. All the players and the gm and his scout deserve a chance to prove themselves. Complaining about what might or might not happen doesn't nothing but make yourself and other members on the board unhappy. If you can tell the future then please let us know but I have my doubts that you can because you would have given us reliable insight in the past like the Jets failing in the 3 AFC Championship appearances ahead of time.
