As far back as the scouting combine in February, Rex Ryan started dropping hints about Quinton Coples becoming more of an edge player. He'll be on the edge, all right. Coples, used mostly as an interior lineman as a rookie, will be moved to 3-4 outside linebacker, according to a league source.

I'm rooting for McIntyre to grab the job from Barnes.

Maybe on running downs, but Barnes is a productive pass rusher that needs to be on the field on passing downs.

I think it was 05 who said that maybe the Jets liked Coples better as an edge rusher more than any player in this draft, hence the Sheldon Richardson pick. Bravo 05, seems you were spot on!

Guys...this defense is going to be FUN to watch.
Sal Paolantonio commenting on the difference in the Ryan and Mangini atmospheres in the building:
"It's like going from Alcatraz to Dorney Park."

It is better to destroy than create what is meaningless, so the picture will not be finished.

Yeah...if only Stephen Hill was a better offensive playmaker...they wouldn't have needed to draft one in the 2013 draft! :victory:

This reminds me of the movie Good Will Hunting when the little dude in the back of the car says "Keep Antagonizing me and see what happens".

Our D SHOULD finish among the top in the league once again. Top 5 rather than 8th overall again. If Geno or Sanchez can do something with a healthy Holmes, Hill learns to catch, Kerley keeps up his good work, Braylon gets re-signed and/or sign Barden, we COULD surprise a lot of teams this season. Ivory & Goodson should do a good job out of the backfield. Our biggest question marks are TE, QB & Hill.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!

Perhaps i'm just drawing a blank here but speaking of question marks who is playing safety next to Landry lite this year? I dont recall hearing of a signing, is Antonio Allen the guy?

I think I remember reading the Jets like Josh Bush. Who knows...I think it's safe to say it will be a weak point for the Jets this year.
