One of my commercial lenders is from MN and he said MN is a no fault state. Not having alot of experience with this I asked him about it. From what I see it seems like a good idea poorly executed. Am I right in saying if I am driving in a no fault state and someone rear ends my car my insurance pays for it? Why? I get the no personal lawsuit part but why would I pay for someone elses mistake? He had a lady run into his house and his homeowners paid for it. There are 12 states with this law
Florida
Hawaii
Kansas
Kentucky
Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
New Jersey
New York
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Utah
More importantly if I am a resident of WI and drive into MN and do not have collision coverage and get rear ended am I out of a car? Seems like a loose loose for the consumer
