I seem to be a homer & think we will do better than all others predict we will. Usually...Im wrong (cause I ALWAYS think we can go all the way till the end of the 1st game =P) So since I saw a report we will most likely have a pick from 1-5 in next years draft....what would you be ok with giving up to get Jadeveon Clowney?

Then I guess its a matter of where we can put him (a good problem to have)

Unfortunately he didnt come out in this draft, because trading Revis to move up to get him would have been our best bet. If we want him I imagine something along the lines of 2 1st round picks and a 3rd, at least. we don't really have any players right now that would be of value, at least none we would/should trade.

But i don't feel like we will be a top 5 pick. With the schedule we have, the fact that the Jets always do better with low expectations, and with the youth on our defense, I see 8-8 as a real possibility, and 9-7 as a realistic ultimate goal. Even if we go 7-9 though, thats not close enough to top 5 without giving up a lot. If the team doesn't draft him at #1 overall, they know how bad people will want Clowney. RGIII type trade is probably what the #1 team will hope for, but settle for slightly less because he isn't a qb.

If the Jets have the choice to pick Clowney, they need to make sure the QB situation is set first. With guys like Bridgewater, Boyd, and Manziel coming out, Jets have the chance to take a potential franchise QB. If Sanchez bombs out again and coaches/management don't believe that Geno is the answer, they have to go QB. Clowney is for a bad team who already has a potential answer at QB.

Agreed except for the Manziel part. Bridgewater is the guy to bring us out of this hell hole.

Hell Yeah on Manziel. I don't want that Moron within 1,000 miles of the Jets. Guy proves himself to be a moron every day. here's the latest!
