The next time we'll be seeing him is probably the Bills game on the 22nd.

It sucks. I thought he was looking good. Get him healthy, hopefully no setbacks.

It's going to suck that he wont be in the lineup for the 1st game or 2 of the season. If he had to go out though, I'm glad it was due to making a play like he did on Henne, that was great

Yep - his play this preseason bodes well for when he is able to return. Will be interesting to see who starts for him as McIntyre and Sapp seem the main two candidates. We haven't seen a lot of the former so far this preseason, but Sapp registered a sack last night (although in all honesty it was pressure from Damon Harrison, I think, that was the key on that play). I'd presume Antwan Barnes is in the mix too.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Coples is "out indefinitely." The initial timeline was 3-4 weeks for Coples' return, but that was assuming he'd avoid surgery. He's probably not going to be ready for Week 1. If not, Antwan Barnes and Calvin Pace will open the season as the Jets' starting outside linebackers. It's a big blow to Rex Ryan's defense because Coples has terrific versatility. Aug 18 - 8:03 PM

How was that play not a fumble? Even though the arm is going forward, the ball was still in the QBs hand... what if he was pumping the ball? I've seen a QB pump, lose the grip on the ball, and that was a fumble even though his arm was moving forward when the ball slipped out of his hand.
