RetireChrebet Icon : (17 July 2014 - 03:03 AM) My main concern this season is the quarterback play, he or they need to limit turnovers. Simple as that. Also curious to see what we get out of the secondary. If the two aforementioned play decent football this year it should be a very good season.
Mr_Jet Icon : (17 July 2014 - 01:24 PM) Football has been gone so long it feels like the Super Bowl was over a year ago. And we still have about 6 weeks to go before the season starts.

Went hill. Seems like Geno likes to throw his way. Now if Hill can get his hands working, he has a shot at 1k.

Hill has two problems. One more fixable than the other. Hands are gonna be tough to fix but it looks as though he's doing a better job. But being a 6'4" receiver, if he can develop an ability to make a play in coverage, that could make him a really good WR.

Hill is clearly a much better player than he was last season. He almost has as many yards this season as he did for the entire season last year.

Marty Mo said during the offseason that the Jets will take 4-5 deep shots per game. Looks like he wasn't lying. It's either going to go to Holmes or Hill, since Kerley is the short guys and Gates is playing himself off the field. I'll take Hill due to the fact that Holmes will start to draw over the top coverages from safeties.

one thing hill needs to improve on is attacking the ball. the top WRs in the game go up and attack the ball, hill kinda waits for it to come to him instead. luckily that can be fixed with coaching. we all knew he was a project. he had top 10 talent but fell to the 2nd round becuase he is raw. he's improved his hands, route running and awareness this season. but if he wants to get on the level of andre, fitz, megatron etc then he needs to attack the ball. the play holmes made, hill would have never made that catch

Holmes will only get better as the year goes. He is by far the best reciever on the team. I just can't seem to trust Hill. Winslow is a risk. Kerley would be second.

I voted Holmes, but really it's a toss up between him and Hill. Holmes should finish with more catches, but given his deep threat potential Hill could end up with more yards on fewer receptions.

One thing that has been apparent so far, Geno seems to like throwing to Hill. And the Jets are more aggressive in their downfield attacking and Geno is a better downfield thrower than Sanchez was.
