@DWAZ73 : One other thing: Idzik now has landed arguably No. 1 QB, RB and WR in free agency this offseason despite deliberate approach. #Jets
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:24 PM) FIRE IDZIK
Jetsfan115 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:32 PM) still need another WR
Jetsfan115 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:33 PM) so i bet powell barely gets any touches this year and goodson gets cut
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:34 PM) Goodson is as good as gone.
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:34 PM) With all his legal issues and coming off injury he is done. Possibly even in the NFL
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:39 PM) Powell is average anyways.
Chaos Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:39 PM) @ProFootballTalk 5m

Per source, Chris Johnson's two-year deal has a base value of $8 million, with another $1 million available in incentives based on yardage.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:40 PM) He does a lot of things well, but isn't talented enough. Johnson has breakaway ability still and Ivory is man beast running the football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:41 PM) We will get another WR in the draft. Even in round 2 you can get a starting WR
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 04:09 PM) I am still standing by my CB in the first round and WR in the second prediction
santana Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:19 PM) The title race is bale
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:34 PM) Sidney rice coming in for a visit
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:49 PM) I think the Jets are getting themselves ready to draft best player available
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:49 PM) Last year they stuck to their board
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 06:27 PM) if they sign him I think that means they look to take a CB round 1
2JBallar01 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 06:32 PM) “@AdamSchefter: RB Chris Johnson's 2-year deal with Jets has a team option in it for year two. Jets have option to pick up year two at $4M in February 2015.”
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 06:51 PM) @AlbertBreer 2m
Sidney Rice has agreed to terms with the Seahawks on a one-year deal, per source.

If I were the Jets I would release Cromartie, save the $9.5 mil in cap space. He has been awful this season, bottom 5 CB in the league.

Bottom 5? I agree he has not played as well as last year but he also has been put into poor positions due to play calling.

I would go out and sign Jarius Byrd, get a safety who can make plays and has coverage ability.

I would also sign Jeremy Maclin, experienced in this system and is young coming off a injury. ACL tears are not a huge deal anymore. I would also draft a WR very early. I would draft a RB and a OG and TE.

We also need to get a QB, I am not convinced with Geno Smith at all. He has been getting worse, not better.

I believe QB is our biggest need by far. I would pretty much sell out to get a top tier QB. I dont follow college much but if there was a Luck type player I would do what it takes to get there. Geno is not a franchise QB

Cromartie's stats are really awful, bottom 5 awful. I think hes rated as the 2nd worst CB in football.

Luck was a once in a decade type prospect.

He's also been dealing with a hip injury all year.

More reason to snip (no pun) him at the end of the year.

Luck was a once in a decade type prospect.

That is the problem with stats. They dont tell the whole story. He is not a bottom 5 corner in the league. I do think he overplayed his ability last year but I give more fault to REx putting into zero coverage on 85% of the snaps. He is not Revis.

I agree on Luck. The point is if there is a guy that seems like a sure thing grab him. I really have little faith in what Geno can do. I feel another Sanchez type era coming with him. I know hind sight is 20/20 but at this point I would have rather traded that second for Alex Smith than draft Geno.

Honestly, I think the stats back up what I am seeing. He gets beat downfield at least 1 time a game this season. Hes given up like 6-7 TDs. He seems to not have the lift in his legs anymore to breakup passes. I think hes declining physically.

I like how after he got destroyed downfield by Goodwin, he then decided to get physical with the little guy and pushed him out of bounds. If only he would have played like that all game... I mean hes 6'2 215 facing a 5'8 WR, he should get those long arms on him and not let him get any running room.

I didn't understand why we signed Reed to have him blitz instead of being out in deep coverage. I am guessing its because we weren't getting any pressure on Manuel.

I've been a Cromartie defender the past 3 years hes been here, I mean I claimed he was a top 5 CB last season. But this year hes been truly awful.

Thats the zero coverage. the lift you are referring to may be this hip injury. IDK. I am not saying he is all world but he is nor bottom 5. You get a small olympic winning speed guy and he is going to do that to a tall lanky CB. It was poor scheme. we under estimated their WR depth.
