Because no one will succeed with the Jets, the probability of predicting failure with this team is as likely as the sun rising the next day.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 02:57 PM) yeah but izdik always rubbed me the wrong way, i never said ti about any other GM so quick. i could tell the guy was inept. call it intuition, a lucky guess etc etc either way i called this shit and i was right quickly. not 10 years down the road

What I would do.

Release

Mark Sanchez-$8.3 mil saved

Santonio Holmes-$8.3 mil saved

Antonio Cromartie-$9.5 mil saved

Mike Goodson-$1.3 mil saved

27.4 mil saved.

FA signings

Jeremy Maclin WR-WOn't cost too much coming off of a knee injury, I'm not afraid of ACL tears though. I would sign him, he would give us a quality #2 WR.

Jairus Byrd FS-IT seems like he may not return there, we could use a playmaking cover safety. We have to improve that secondary, I want to use the draft for our offense so sign a still young veteran safety to instantly improve a weakness.

Sam Shields CB-We will need a outside CB to replace Cromarite with, I would sign Shields who is pretty good and young. Posted Image

I would be interested in a veteran QB, depends on who. If Jay Cutler hits FA, I would go after him.

With the draft I would go offense offense offense. Its too early to talk draft, but we have 4 picks in the first 3 rounds, so we need to go offense there.

Sanchez will NOT be a hot FA. With that being said I believe we could renogotiate his deal and save the cap hit as well as the salary. He would be a great #2 and provide stability. This would give us more $ than just cutting him.

Cromartie has sucked this year due to injury. It was clear he should not have played yesterday. I am not ready to pull the plug unless he is unwilling to redo his deal. When healthy Cro is a good corner and had become a leader in the locker rooom. If possible lets keep him. I live in WI watch all the GB games and can say Cro is a way better CB that Sheilds. Talib or Grimes would be a better fit.

I like Maklin, Byrd and bringing in Cutler for the right price. I dont see why any of those guys would come here over teams that have a chance to be in contention next year.

I am torn on Rex. I do believe he is a great coach. I do believe he has done more with this roster than most people could. However with this being such a QB driven league he is hard to aggue for. He is not a well rounded coach. A one trick pony if you will. I liked having Marty here as the OC. A guy who can run the O solo. Maybe with more talent this current set up can work. IDK. Like I said I am torn.

Cromartie is one of the worst CBs in football this season. I would move on from him, save the cap space. Shields has much better coverage numbers than Cromartie. I would want Talib, but hes probably in for a big payday.

Those players would come here the same reason why any player goes to a team, these aren't guys on their last legs looking for a team to win a SB right now. They are players looking for their payday. And if they all came our team would be better.

Cro's numbers may be bad but he is clearly injured. Shields is not a good corner. He may be the best corner on the Packers but that is not saying much. Their secondary is poor as a whole. They play a lot more cover two to hide it. Like I said if we can keep Cro for a reasonable amount he is our best option. Shields is not.

Stop looking at stats. My wife is a Packer fan, I live in WI, Every Monday the entire state has zero productivity due to everyone either cheering or booing the Pack. I watch just about every game and hear just about all the opinions. He is marginal. He gets alot of help. Our CBs get very little. Wilson would start over him if he was on our team.

Maybe he's not getting mentioned because he'll get paid unlike maclin but I like Emmanuel Sanders

Loved him coming out.

Would unseat Kerley. Quickly.
