Jetsfan0099 Icon : (19 February 2015 - 12:28 PM) Reports say Jets to go hard after CJ Spiller. Bring him aboard, he'll be a good signing. Was a stud in Chan's offense and RBs don't cost much
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (20 February 2015 - 12:09 PM) Saw that the Bills are meeting with Spiller and may sign him before FA.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (20 February 2015 - 12:10 PM) if that happens, I think the Jets should go after Shane Vereen. Nice pass catching option out of the backfield, only 25.
Smedsthejet Icon : (20 February 2015 - 04:06 PM) Think Vereen would be a great option...I thought he was one of their best and most valuable performers during the playoffs and we need a back who can contribute in the passing game as well. Jets have been missing that piece since LT retired

Jetsfan0099 Icon : (25 February 2015 - 07:29 PM) The Packers had the cap space to lock up Cobb regardless
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (25 February 2015 - 07:30 PM) But Bryan Bulaga is also a FA< so they have 2 important guys to re-sign. I think the OT is more important for Rodgers

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Rex Ryan has been urged by Jets general manager John Idzik to make changes to his defensive coaching staff this offseason, according to an NFL.com report.

Some observations on the implications of the report, as we sit less than an hour from the Jets' season finale against the Miami Dolphins.

-- If Ryan is to make changes this offseason, it presumes Ryan will remain the Jets' head coach. Reports emerged Saturday signaling this would be the case.

-- Brian VanGorder, who is in charge of the Jets' inside linebackers, is already reportedly departing to take Notre Dame's defensive coordinator job.

-- An area of focus may be the secondary, which has struggled this season in part due to inexperience and injury. Tim McDonald is in his first year coaching defensive backs after Dennis Thurman was elevated to the defensive coordinator job last offseason.

-- Speaking of Thurman, who has been on Ryan's staff since his regime began here in 2009, will he be on the chopping block? He and Ryan are close, and Ryan has a reputation for loyalty. Thurman's contract expires after the season. Remember, it is Ryan not Thurman who calls defensive plays.

-- Karl Dunbar, the defensive line coach, was on a one-year contract entering the season also. The Jets' young defensive line has responded well to Dunbar, though, becoming the strength of the defense.

As long as Dunbar stays, we're good. Our D-line was far too dominant for his job to be in jeopardy.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!

Dunbar's contract is up, they have to bring him back. Hes done a graet job.

I'd fire our DB coach. We'll need a new LB coach.
