With WRs in madden the most important stat for them to get open is speed so they make the great WRs faster then what they really are. Curosly I didn’t notice a stat for route running (like 2k had)

I assume that falls into the Awareness stat, although I think there should be a few position specific stats like that. Receivers should have route running, QBs should have a decision making stat, RBs have a vision or something like that one.
Another thing I was thinking about is maybe they should start highlighting positions before the play. I can tell what type of defense the computer is using most of the time (4-3, Dime, etc) but I can't see the numbers on the players so I can't tell who is on what. Maybe they should put a red highlight or arrow on, for example, LBs and a green one on CBs, etc. That way you could read mismatches more easily.

On 2k5 it shows their names so u can see when there is a LB on a WR

Thats alot better... I just watch what king formation and if I see someone come out to cover I can usually tell if it's a linebacker

That's what I try to do, but I wish I could tell who is who or what position more easily. In real football the QB would know, so I wish they would put their names up or have a button that allowed you to bring up the names (kind of like how you can bring up routes) of all the players on the field.

2k had it. it showd the names of all your WRs and all the DBs if a guy was lined up agains a reciever and his name didn't come up then it was a LB
