SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these

Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (24 May 2013 - 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (24 May 2013 - 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 11:22 AM) Was he "not even in the 2nd tier"? No. STFU
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:25 AM) Was he the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:26 AM) Or even close to the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:27 AM) Nice Manish leaving? Good shit

Yeah, we should have different coaches and 11 different starters on offense and defense too...

Oh, and that punter shouldn't be here...

And Green and White? What's up with that?

O-line problems....

Man... and with our front four that = disaster for your QB.

I'd actually feel better if Brooks started. Vinny has an axe to grind with us and always had a special touch on the deep ball. I remember what you guys did to the Fins that MNF years back...

That said... your O-line better come prepared or it's going to be a loooooooong day. Our D is the best in the league. Some say it's as good if not better than our SB defense. The ONLY weak link is Bolden. If Vinny gets time to throw at him, we'll have problems.

i'll still feel that way. first off i never wanted him and i believe i had posted how bad our draft was when it happend. second of all the guy can't get a touch back for his life. he's suppose to have a powerful leg but he can't get a touch back. he won't be kicking any 50 yarders. dont' slip on a thirty yarder or kick the ball out of bounds. then we'll talk about 50 yarders. get a touch back once in a while. for second round pick and our first pick in the draft. that's disappoiting andi knew that from teh gate

first off westhoff is a great special teams coach. he has always done well with our special teams. second of all nugent obviously doesn't have the leg for touchbacks. even if you claim that westhoff makes him directional kick(which we have no proof of. nugent probably can't even control his own directions), you honestly think a special teams coach would tell someone who CAN kick touchbacks NOT to kick touchbacks. and to directional kick and let the opposing team return it. lets be serious.

Oh and just for the record, I saw Nugget kick a few right down the middle of the field that landed at about the 10.

Do u even watch the games? how can u say that I say that and have no proof of. Watch the game. When do u ever see him kick to the middle. its always on one side. And what make shim such a good coach? Cause everyone says he is? When was the last time we had a top special teams unit. Not since game 1 of 02 when mortan ran 2 back. I know cochery ran one back last year but it was a fluke. Nobody else has done anything really. Wake up and see our special teams are average. westhoff should get the boot for having all these years and still not putting a playmaking unit on the field. And yes he does tell him to kick it to one side simply cause it takes away lanes for the returner.

I am sorry, but it isn't that simple. The O-line has been bad, but it is our team's fault...plain and simple. Every area is hurting. WR's dropping balls, Dinger not going downfield on a hobbled Ed Reed, granted the O-line stems all the way down, but they can be motivated as well. I must add that our "D" has kept us in this thing.

The defense is playing fine. The problem is the o-line they aren’t giving time in tha pass game. They allow tooo many sacks and aren’t opening up holes.

::sniff:: ::sniff:: what's that smell?

Ahhh fear. Vinny's afraid.

Geritol Bon Bon man will be on his back Sunday.

(Take that in jest please... I love Vinny, but fear for his health. Your O-line isn't strong enough IMO to stop Booger, SIm, Hov', and Spires.)

Vinny will be fine. He’ll play a lot out of the shotgun. So he’ll have time. Expect a lot of quick slants and WR screens to make the d-line honost tehn watch out for the bomb. I also think we’ll see a flea flicker from the jets. vinnys got the arm for it no doubt. He might be 42 but can throw a ball further then most of the QBs in the league

I’m gonna move this to the smackdown forum now because that’s what it has become

Oh and don’t even try to use your WRs. Caus ethey couldn’t catch crabs from a 5 dolla hooker let along a football.

why would u directional kick if you can get touchbacks. to take away lanes?? does that make any sense to you??? HINT HINT. IF YOU TOUCHBACK THERE ARE NO LANES!!! so of course nugent doesn't have the leg. duh. that's why you tell him to kick directionally cuz he doesn't have the leg. it's so obvious

Wow once again u make no sense. Vinny has an arm and can bomb it all day. does that mean that u let him? NO! of course it makes sense. Look lets say westhoff says kick it. lets say nugent kicks it 1 yard deep in the end zone. The guy is gonna run it out and will have all types of room to do it. if he dierectional kicks it to th 5 yard line he’ll gaet tackled earlier so it more then makes up for the yardage. Westhoff is either an idiot or doesn’t have confidence in his unit to cover the whole field. If u watch nugents video in collge he kicks them through the endzone. Its only a 5 yard difference in the NFL I believe so he can kick it 5 yards deep. Remember the out of bounds kicks? Its cause he was trying to directional kick it EVEN WESTHHOFF SAID SO!
