Because they don't have the money and they are looseing money so they must drop players and rebuild.

That is one thing that wont happen. He just came in 2nd for the Cy Young award, they wont toss him out the door.

y would they keep him if they r rebilding so he can go 8-19 with a 2.07 ERA.

Because the guy is 23 years old. When a team is rebuilding they don't toss out the entire team, they drop several guys and go for youth in that area. Willis is very young and very talented and they won't get rid of him.

they got rid of beckket and hes only 25 and has won a WS MVP.

Josh Beckett is injured too frequently and they traded him for salary reasons and to get some prospects. Dontrelle Willis wont have the same fate. Once again they're not going to get rid of all their players for all new ones. They need to keep some talent from before.

Beckett is exactly like Chad Pennington, he is the best pitcher in the major league when healthy, but since he is always injured, he can never be that damn good.
