Jetsfan0099 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 04:53 PM) Sounds like it may not be as bad with Goodson. I could see him ending up with a 4 game suspension for possession, the gun charges probably going to the other guy.

Jetsfan115 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 05:49 PM) i'd order a steak from idzik but he'd just give me a hamburger and try to pass it off as steak and when i cought him in the act he'd gie me a million dollars to make up for it

I thought it was kind of obvious he would sign with the Yanks.

It was always going to be between the Sox and Yanks, but the Yankees could offer way more money than Boston which is why I believed Damon was headed to New York all along.

I suspect now Damon is gone, Manny Ramirez won't be traded by Boston

SWEET! I think NY will embrace him, I love Damon myself. He's a cool guy and an excellent player. This was a good move by the Yanks, since there is a chance Bernie won't come back and Bubba needs some grooming, but I'd still like to see Bernie back.
But overall a good signing and as SmedstheJets said, that means the Sox won't trade Man-Ram.

I hate this move and this is why.

1. Inconsistent performer: had an OPS+ of under 100 as recently as 2003 (94 OPS+). Career OPS+ of only 102.

2. Joe Torre would hit him leadoff: Because Damon is perceived as being "fast" and this general misconception that Jeter is a better #2 hitter, Torre will have Damon kick off the Yankees batting order.

Jeter was perhaps the best leadoff hitter in baseball last year. His OBP was .389 compared to Damon's .366. In fact, Damon's OBP would have ranked 6th among Yankee regulars in 2005.

3. His fielding is declining: Damon ranked 15 out of 20 in Zone Rating among MLB CFs in 2005.

4. His arm is weaker or the same as bernie's ( It is not strong)

In words...

The good news is that it is a killer too the red soxs nation and their fans.

Ahahahaha...sucks to be a Yankees fan...really...I'm not even a Yankees fan but this one stings. It's like inserting poison into the city of New York. I don't understand...this guy is like the anti-Christ to NY and the Yankees...and now he's here?

What a slap in the face to Boston fans (awesome). This just kind of puts a bad taste in your mouth. I couldn't imagine being a Yankee fan and seeing him hit a home run next year and be happy about it!?

Oh well...I got Delgado so you can all lick it !!!aaahhahahahahaha DELGADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

It's ironic that you called him the anti-christ considering the fact that for the past several years he's looked like Jesus.

Ever hear of someone called Roger Clemens, everyone hated him when he was on the Red Sox, but he helped us win a World Series so I have no problem that he was a Sock as long as he helps us win. What about Delgado and Wagner, they were both in the same division as the Mets, it must be wierd signing them huh?
