Mr_Jet Icon : (16 December 2014 - 04:54 PM) I think very highly of Connor Cook. But if he is projected to go in the first round of the 2015 draft, this is going to be a very weak draft.

Here's a mock of the 1st round on how I think things could go:

1. Houston - Reggie Bush, RB, USC
2. New Orleans - Mario Williams, DE, NC State - Whilst the Saints have two young, talented DEs, Charles Grant is entering the final year of his deal and Williams represents an upgrade over him. Talk of DBrick going here is silly in my eyes as Jamaal Brown was drafted 1st round last year.
3. Tennessee - Matt Leinart, QB, USC - Talk maybe of them taking Young but Leinart represents the safe pick and is more ready to start. With McNair out I see the Titans wanting a rookie to come in and start right away.
4. NYJ - DBrickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia - Shores up the line and gives the Jets QBs some much wanted protection.
5. GB - AJ Hawk, LB, Ohio State - Gives the porous Packers D some much needed help.
6. 49ers - Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland - Former 1st round WR Rashaun Woods was just traded along with Brandon Lloyd's trade to the 'Skins and poor Alex Smith needs at least one target. They forego defense here to bolster a dismal offense.
7. Oakland Raiders - Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon - The Raiders QB situation isn't as bad as people think with Brooks and 3rd rounder last year Andrew Walter - a guy who fits the Al Davis stereotype. The big Ngata fills the big hole left by big Ted Washington.
8. Buffalo - Michael Huff, S, Texas - Lawyer Milloy bolted for Atlanta and Dick Jauron seems happy for some reason about his QB situation with Holcomb, Losman and Craig Nall. They would have preferred Ngata, even though Larry Triplett just signed but are happy with Huff who can play CB or S
9. Detroit - Ernie Sims, LB, Florida St. - With Huff gone they pick LB over Tackle as they used their franchise tag to keep Jeff Backus. No QB here as McCown and Kitna signed.
10. Arizona - Vince Young,QB, Texas - An offense of Young, James, Fitzgerald and Boldin would be explosive in the future with multiple threats. They forego OLine here though
11. St. Louis - Brodrick Bunkley, DT, Florida St. - They lost Damione Lewis and Ryan Pickett and Bunkley is a guy who could fit in right away at DT.
12. Cleveland - Jimmy Williams, CB, Virginia Tech - Improves their D and Crennel could be the guy to keep Williams in check.
13. Baltimore - Winston Justice, OT, USC - an upgrade over Tony Pashos
14. Philadelphia - Chad Jackson, WR, Florida - Philly gamble on a Florida receiver to fill T.O.s shoes
15. Denver - Santonio Holmes, WR, OSU - Would have liked Jackson but take the next best wideout as Kiwanuka is a reach at #15
16. Miami - Tye Hill, CB, Clemson - Losing Surtain and Madison in consecutive years leaves Miami with a gap at CB. Chad Greenway also an option here.
17. Minnesota - Jay Cutler, QB, Vanderbilt - Somehow he falls to #17 but other teams pass him up to fill other needs. A steal at #17
18. Dallas - Chad Greenway, OLB, Iowa - fills a need, someone to start opposite DeMarcus Ware
19. San Diego - Donte Whitner, S, OSU - addresses SD's problem in the Defensive backfield. Rashaun Woods was traded for at WR for a CB and Whitner's lack of height means he could be moved to the corner.
20. Kansas City - Manny Lawson, DE, NC State - adds a speedy rusher to complement Jared Allen.
21. New England - DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis - an ideal replacement for Corey Dillon
22. Denver - Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia - fills the gap left by Jeb Putzier's departure
23. Tampa Bay - Marcus McNeill, OT, Auburn - big guy who once again will open holes for Cadillac Williams
24. Cincinnati - Antonio Cromartie, CB, Florida St. - Big Sam Adams filled a hole at DT. This pick adds a speedy, physical presence to the secondary, although it is a bit of a reach considering his knee problems; would have liked Pope.
25. NYG - Gabe Watson, DT, Michigan - toss up between him and Bobby Carpenter
26. Chicago - Jonathan Joseph, CB, S. Carolina - fills a hole in their secondary
27. Carolina - Bobby Carpenter, OLB, OSU - need to fill the hole left by Will Witherspoon
28. Jacksonville - DeMeco Ryans, LB, Alabama - fills a hole at LB, could also opt for Laurence Maroney here
29. NYJ - Laurence Maroney, RB, Minnesota - the signing of Teague means Center isn't as much as an issue. Curtis Martin's heir apparent drafted even though Blaylock is on the roster.
30. Indianapolis - Thomas Howard, OLB, U.T.E.P - a bit high but David Thornton's departure mean they need a LB
31. Seattle - Mathias Kiwanuka, DE, Boston College - fills a need at DE, Safety or CB also options but Kiwanuka is BPA right here that fills a need for Seattle.
32. Pittsburgh - Ashton Youbuty, CB, OSU - provides help back in the secondary.

This is my 1st mock I've done so pick it apart at will, I'm not too bothered

Trade:
Our third (#71) to the Texans for RB Dominick Davis.
Our first (#4) to the Raiders for their first and second (#7 and #38).

#7: OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson of Virginia- This guy is a must have type of player. The Jets take a risk here, but the 49ers favor TE Vernon Davis, they'll get an OT later.

#29: OLB Bobby Carpenter of OSU- The 3-4 will sadly spell the end of Hobson, so the Jets draft a guy that was basically made for a 3-4. The guy had great speed and will work great on blitzes.

#35: NT Gabe Watson of Michigan- The Jet will need a big body up front to keep the LBs clean, and a 339 pound chunk of meat can do that. He'd take on double converage, maybe even triple converage.

#38: OG Davin Joseph of Oklahoma- Very underrated player, many people think he's better than Giles. Moves very well and plays with a mean streak. This should solidify the Jets starting line and will be teamed with Brandon Moore for a nice looking gurd tandem for aother decade.

#97: QB Brodie Croyle of Alabama- The Jets are appalled ands tunned when he falls this far. They take him since Chad may be playing his last year and Ramsey might not be the most reliable starter. Has a strong arm, possibly the strongest in the Draft, something the Jets love about him.

#103: WR Derek Nagen of ASU- He has good speed, is very quick, so the Jets decide to take him. Catch be prone to the drops, but overall has good hands that go good with his quickness.

#117: CB/WR/KR/PR Devin Hester- Just one more CB to make our CBs better. Will solidify the return man spot, especially on punts.

#135: FB Garret Mills of Tulsa- Is one of the (in not the) fastest FB in the Draft. Since Askew is injury prone, the Jets get a security blanket.

#196: TE/WR Anthony Mix of Auburn- I love the speed he has for his size (4.51) and is very versatile. If he cuts down on the drops, he could be a potential steal. A nice depth guy for when Dearth leaves.

QB- Chad Pennington/Patrick Ramsey/Brodie Croyle.
RB- Curtis Martin/Dominick Davis.
FB- BJ Askew.
WR1- Laveranues Coles/Jerricho Cotchery.
WR2- Justin McCareins/Derek Hagen.
TE- Chris Baker.
OT- D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
OG- Brandon Moore.
C- Trey Teague.
OG- Pete Kendall.
OT- Adrian Jones.

DE- Shaun Ellis.
NT- Gabe Watson.
DE- Dewayne Robertson.
OLB- Bobby Carpenter.
ILB- Eric Barton.
ILB- Jonathan Vilma.
OLB- Byran Thomas.
CB1- Justin Miller/Andre Dyson:David Barrett/Devin Hester.
SS- Kerry Rhodes.
FS- Erik Coleman.
CB2- David Barrett: Andre Dyson/Derrick Strait.

K- Mike Nugent.
P- Ben Graham.
KR- Justin Miller/Devin Hester.
PR- Devin Hester.
LS- James Dearth/Joel Dreesen.
H- Ben Graham.

Not bad at all, But i wouldnt want to trade for Davis he gets injuried too much. I also think Andre Dyson is going to be starting, it will probaly be Barret and Dyson to start the season then Miller and Dyson end up finishing the season. i like getting Davin Joesph, I hope we get him he is very verstile. He played RG LG and OT. I would like to get a RT since Adrian Jones sucked at it. He is too small, but if we get Pearson, Pearson probaly could end up starting their. Also i rather get Charlie Whitehurst then Brodi Croyle. I would like to get Ryan O'Callahan in round 3.

They can use that third on the other back, most smart teams use the first overall on a player to start, not to be a part timer. They can use one of the 3 thirds they have on another back, they used one on Vernand Morency last year in round 4.
But do you think Kimo had alot of gas left? He's 35. And where else does Robertson go? Can't trade him with that contract.
And JetsFan0099, I don't think Leinart will fall to 4, there is no Eric Mangold is this Draft crazy.gif , other than that, good.
