Posted 16 Aug 2016I honestly believe the jest are waiting for a starting QB to get hurt in training camp so they can unload Geno at max value. I really want to see Bryce get a fair shake
Posted 16 Aug 2016Smith isn't battling for the 3rd spot or any spot right now. that's a joke. Hes on the pup list as of now. If he stays on the pup list he will miss 6 weeks minimum of the season. If they put him on short term IR its 8 weeks.
Face it the guy is a total bust with Vaseline hands, no strength to battle corners to stay on routes, and cant run routes correctly in general. 1st stringers have been cut in 1st and 2nd season.
The best thing the Jets can do is to release him or try to salvage a trade of any kind for him. The team now has a bunch of solid receivers competing for a job..... no reason to keep a bust.
Even if they kept him he`d be fighting for a job from the practice squad to see if he could make the 4th or 5th active roster spot. No way in hell the 3rd.He hurt the team every time he was on the field and got demoted last year after getting healthy in place of Thompkins. You can teach route techniques but you cant teach a body catcher with bad hands to develop good hands. Its a skill just like awareness and speed.
What even makes it wore is he had surgery in December and ACL tears average 6 months of recovery. Smith is 8 months into recovery and still cant even run full speed in a straight line, or even make almost any cuts, and cant run any routes at all by himself. If he cant run any routes on his own he is a long way from any contact running routes against a defender.
Complete waste of a spot on the team.
I'll reserve judgement until he comes back after this ACL. With that said, I agree, he has been a waste of a 2nd round pick up to this point. Jets last four 2nd round picks..... Geno, Amaro, D. Smith, Hackenburg
Posted 13 Aug 2016What is Darron Lee's ceiling should he pan out? I can't really think of any other LB's in the league that look that small in pads. Anyone have any better insight? I've been incredibly busy and haven't done much research on him.
Posted 13 Aug 2016Enunwa is so awkward out there. Most of his catch and runs are ugly but as long as he's moving the chains I'm cool
Posted 13 Aug 2016Milliner was actually in position on both of those plays. Robinson is just that much better. Those passes easily could have been broken up and we would all be saying. "Wow Milliner looks great"
