Posted 4 Nov 2014I think we should keep vick for a few years personally. I don't see a better option out there for us. we can draft a replacement and let him learn like you should do for a QB. I think with vick we'll be ok for a few years. simms is also a good 3rd QB. we just need to draft our future 10+ year QB.
as far as CB goes, blame izdik. we can't count on milliner to stay healthy and even if he does, he hasn't proven he is a number 1. wilson is a nickelback, he isn't start material. from what i see we need 2 starting CBs. i'd expect mcdougle to be our 4th CB when he comes back next year, but we need a solid FA CB and maybe a high draft pick (2nd round) as out 1st round should be QB. and then invest heavy in some o-line.
I must be missing something. Vick is on his last legs, I'd be suprised if he plays past this year. Why we don't start sims I don't understand. U say Vick looked good, we scored 10 points. Only a matter of a few more plays before Vick gets hurt and is done for the year anyway. Just sayin, Vick is not the answer.
Posted 14 Oct 2014Milliner was a bust hands down. Don't care if he "could" be great I highly doubt an already injury prone guy coming of an Achilles tear will ever doing anything in this league. Granted he's not Vernon Gholston bad. If Rex is fired it will be a shame. He is the only reason we are not the Jacksonville jaguars right now. This offseason we need to draft a QB w the first pick, hopefully Petty or Mariotta. Draft 5/6 corners with picks round 2-7. Sign every free agent WR available and a gaurd or two. Then we got a squad. Rex has been set up for failure, without a doubt.
My prediction: patriots win Super Bowl, Rex gets fired and becomes D coordinator in Foxboro.
Posted 3 Oct 2014It wasn't Idzik who fumbled inside the 5 or threw a pick righ before the half against Green Bay to give them all the momentum. And it wasn't Idzik who put us in hole on the 3rd play of the game by throwing a screen pass to 3 Chicago Bears.
If I was a defender on this team the past three years I would be pissed. They bust their ass off game in game out just to just to be let down by poor QB play. Just don't turn the ball over, you don't have to be Peyton manning, just don't turn the ball over, that's it! Geno was a turnover machine in college too that's why he fell so far.
Posted 3 Oct 2014logically speaking, yes it is premature to call for his head. But speaking emotionally as someone who loves this team and is losing patience i just don't like the guy and want him gone. he just rubs me the wrong way.
also he could have locked up those players already and as much as i love kerly, i'd be fine with him being gone if it meant we got Djax instead. kerly is a tough guy and reliable, but he lacks talent to be a starting WR in the league. decker isn't a true number 1 IMO. Djax is.
Your not point is duely noted but please stop using Jackson as an example. He's a head case and has a good game 1/4 times. Philly couldn't get him out of there fast enough. Last thing this team needs is another psychiatric patient. Cousins is and always will be light years ahead of Geno.
Posted 1 Oct 2014WR is a bigger need IMO. We need a burner.
WE are getting a addition at CB, when Milliner gets healthy. If he plays like he did the last month, we have our #1 CB on the roster. Darrin Walls and Antonio Allen aren't that bad. WE have issues on offense. First off, Geno is garbage. Secondly, we lack that difference maker at WR. I would start Vick though, before our season is over. Maybe he can spark things.
One thing is clear, this offseason we will once again be in the market for a franchise QB.
Couldn't agree more. I'm fairly confident Marcus mariotta or Brett hundly will be on our team next year. Personally I prefer a guy like Kevin Hogan but anyone besides geno will do. Would love to snag a guy like Ameer Abdullah in round two to be what Chris Johnson was supposed to be.
