Posted 20 Apr 2015Besides the fact he sucks I don't want a quarterback who can't tell time when he goes to a movie and miss a team meeting. That just shows he doesn't care.
Exactly. If it were up to me He would have been cut a long time ago. Anyone with half a brain knows California is in the pacific time zone or 3 hours behind NY, that's just common knowledge. I really hope we move up and draft Winston or draft Brent Hundley.
In an ideal world I think mccagnan has to move back in round one if at all possible. We could then get Hundley and one of those elite RB's then to defense in round 2 with the extra pick.
Posted 1 Apr 2015Not disagreeing with you on Milliner but he has been hurt a few times and was thrown right out at the start covering the best receivers so I cant call him a bust quite yet . Milliner is to early to tell yet. He was thrown into the fire with only 2 seasons of play so he might surprise us. He looked good at times and other times bad along with getting hurt. If he can be a solid 3rd corner behind the two starters that's all I ask right now. He may well yet develop into a starter. Not every player can handle the game speed right off the bat some need a few years. He may never get it but as far as I'm concerned its to early to call him a bust.Mainly because our entire secondary was near league worst. If he sucks at 3rd corner in nickle and dime I will be calling him a bust then because if he cant make it as a back up covering 3rd and 4th receivers then yes he will be a definite bust then.
Wilson was a first round busts and fans here kept defending him for some stupid reason even though he kept dropping in the depth chart. he wasn't even reliable coming in in the nickle and dime packages. He dropped all the way to the 5th string corner yet some of the fans kept defending him. I have no idea why.If he had been reliable he would've been the solid third corner but he wasn't he dropped more and more in his position. He started one game the past two years and did absolutely nothing and is gone this year. So yes Wilson was a definite bust and no one can argue it now.
Geno might be a bust but a first round pick wasn't wasted on him and second round picks on qbs aren't sure things.
Its kind of funny though you calling out busts on the team and want Mariota so bad and yet he has the same problems Sanchez had who was also a first round 6th pick. Cant throw to the outside, holds the ball to long, very seldom goes through his progressions(usually hits first read) and not good with improvising if the play breaks down. Yes he is fast but running the ball when the play breaks down in college wont work for him in the NFL. When the play breaks down he doesn't run to pass he runs to run and he will get demolished in the NFL his speed running the ball means nothing in the NFL.
Rodgers is pretty fast but he and Russell Wilson run to pass a lot so the defense doesn't know if they are running or passing. No one was faster than Vick and he ran all over the league for a couple of years. After that first major hit he took it was all down hill from their. He got broke up. RG3 tried the same thing and look where its got him. Hurt.If Mariota comes in the NFL running the ball and he will be on season IR probably the first year if he starts right off the bat.
I'm so convinced he will be bust in the NFL I will literally be astonished, amazed and feel like its a miracle and gladly eat crow if he is successful. I'm a man of my word and if he is successful I will Take the word reaming from everyone on the forum. That`s how convinced I am that this guy is not worth a first round pick no even average starting caliber.
If he stays around and takes 4-6 years or more to become half decent that isn't successful in my book that's a journeyman type of qb
I clearly stated that I would pass on Maroita in the draft.
Posted 28 Mar 2015I will take your word for it on Gurley. I only saw him play in like two games so cant agree or disagree with you but as far as the acl injury I wouldn't take much stock in it. Peterson recovered from an acl tear very nicely. He is young so I guess we will see what his future is like.
As far as Mariota though I dont feel he is 1st round calibur. I really feel he is going to turn out to be a bust wherever he plays. As much as you want him I dont want him but whatever I guess we will see. No sense worrying about something 6 weeks away.As long as they get the pick right with a solid 1st rounder that's all Im worried about.
Id rather go with more of a sure thing than the best available in a certain position just because we need it. I liked the Pryor pick in the 1st 2014.
In 2013 most people even the analyst felt that Geno should have been a 1st round pick and many were against the Richardson pick. Turned out to be the best thing the Jets did in both cases.Taking Richardson in the 1st and waiting till the 2nd to get Geno
I disagree about the last part only because we WASTED a 2nd round pick on Geno and drafted a bust a no. 9 in Milliner( not that he can't play just can't stay healthy). Richardson however, was a GREAT pick. I remember Kiper saying on live TV " this makes no sense for the jets and their scheme". Doesn't matter what scheme Richardson plays in he'll be a monster. As for this years draft I hope we trade back or trade picks for a elite QB or roll the dice on Winston. I agree we should pass on Mariota or use him as leverage for potential trade.
Posted 12 Mar 2015You don't have Revis starting in the 4-3
